WPlus9 Guest Designer- Group Post

Happy Friday!
Well, my dears, I’m excited to say that today is the day….the new WPlus9 sets are available! Judging from your SWEET blog comments, it sounds like many of you are excited about these sets. I’d suggest getting yours asap….Dawn is always super fab about getting enough for release day, but with how AMAZING these ones are, I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold out quickly!
Today I have a card showcasing the new Filigreed Frames along with Kisses & Cuddles. I just LOVE how well these sets go together!

When I think of baby cards, I usually think of light, pastel colors. I decided to go with that and made it a little “shabby chic” number. Remember how I mentioned before that I’m obsessed with doilies? Yup, I still am. So much so that I only have 2 or 3 of them left!
Here’s a closer peek at how great the two sets go together….
I hope you were inspired by all my WPlus9 cards this week! I had SOOOO much fun working with the Filigreed Frames and A Special Lady. Don’t forget, both of them (along with the Label Layers I die) are available today!!
Thanks so much for stopping in. I’ll be back soon with some more cards. :)

WPlus9 Guest Designer- Day 4

Hello there!
Today I have another card showcasing the new WPlus9 set, Filigreed Frames. Here are the deets on the set:
Filigreed Frames
  • is a 4×6 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • contains 11 stamps; 2 frame images, 6 sentiment builders, 3 ornamental accent images
  • will be available for purchase April 1st for just $13
Since I showcased one of the frames yesterday, I thought I’d share one of the ornamental accent images this time around. You know how I love creating my own backgrounds, and this image is PERFECT for doing just that!

I kept the card really simple (wow, this must be the week for that). However, with super pretty images like this, you don’t want it to be too busy.
Here’s a closer look at the background….
That’s all for today. Be sure to check out the rest of the team’s projects featuring Filigreed Frames
I’ll talk with you all later…..have a good one!

WPlus9 Guest Designer- Day 3

Happy Wednesday to you!
We are now on day #3 for the exciting WPlus9 April release. Since there are TWO brand new sets releasing, it’s time to show you the other set, Filigreed Frames.
If you are a WPlus9 fan (which you all SHOULD be….Dawn’s company is fab!), you know that Dawn recently started designing dies to coordinate with her stamps. This month, there is a die that coordinates with Filigreed Frames! Pretty fun, right?
Here is what I created…..

You all know I’m a big fan of colors, especially BRIGHT ones. I thought it’d be fun to bring together the “oldie” Woodgrain Silhouettes with the “newbie” Filigreed Frames. I think they go together SO well, don’t you?
Isn’t that sentiment fabulous? I LOVE it so much! The “thank you” is separate from the other words, so you can use it by itself or together. There are some other sentiments in this set also; I’ll be featuring another one tomorrow.
I hope this card brought some cheer into your morning. Be sure to check out the WPlus9 design teams blogs- they are sure to have some beauties to share!
I will see you tomorrow for another peek at Filigreed Frames!

WPlus9 Guest Designer- Day 2

Hi there!
Oh goodness, you all are such sweeties. THANK YOU so much for all the sweet comments regarding my guest designer position over at WPlus9 this month. I am still over the moon excited that Dawn asked me to join her team for this special spot. I honestly cannot even begin to say how amazing Dawn is….(and no, I’m not just saying this because of my guest designer spot)
Okay, enough of the mushy gushy stuff. It’s time to showcase the other flower in the new set, A Special Lady
I played around with a few different card ideas before I came to this one. I just love the lines in the daffodil image, so I wanted to keep the card simpler. I first stamped the image on my large white cardstock and then stamp the flower onto my Spellbinder shape.
Here you can see the dimension a little better.I just love how this turned out- it’s so CAS, which normally isn’t my style. However, when you have such pretty, delicate images, sometimes less is more!
Be sure to check out what the WPlus9 DT created over on Dawn’s blog. Each of the girls has such a unique style- it’s so much fun to see what everyone comes up with!
I will see you tomorrow for a peek at the OTHER WPlus9 set that is releasing. I can’t wait for you to see it! :)

WPlus9 Guest Designer- Day 1

As you can see from the title, I have some news to share…..I’m the guest designer on the WPlus9 blog this month! If you have followed my blog, you know that I’ve been a fan of Dawn’s stamps for a long time. I love the versatility of her line plus, she’s such a sweetie and I love supporting my friends!
Blog friends, let me tell you, this month Dawn has outdone herself. There are TWO brand new sets, and I am absolutely in love with both of them! Today the Wplus9 DT and I have some cards featuring the new set A Special Lady.
Let’s get started on today’s card…..
There are two gorgeous flowers in this set, but I just couldn’t resist pulling out the tulip one first. I’ve always loved tulips, and you know how much I love pink!  For the background, I used one of the solid leaf images from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions (a must have)
Tip: doing a tone-on-tone background is a great way to “fill” in empty spaces, but don’t want it to be too overpowering.
The rest of the WPlus9 DT are using this stamp set also, so be sure to head to Dawn’s blog for all the links!
I’ll see you tomorrow for another card with this set- this time I’ll feature the other flower. :)

Just Because

Good morning!
Today I have a fairly simple card, but I just love it. I love the blues and the sentiment is great! I had originally created this card for a publication call, but with my busy weekend, I didn’t end up getting around to submitting it. (Along with 6 other cards) Guess that’ll teach me to procrastinate……
I pulled out the WPlus9 sets Funky Foliage (for the sentiment) and The Birds & The Bees. I think these flowers are just too cute, and they are so much fun to color with Copics!
Like I said, simple card, but it’s great for just about any occasion. To me, those are the best kinds of cards! :)
Hope you all are having a great week. It’s been a little crazy, so I haven’t been able to post much. Hopefully I can get back into it soon!

Color Cue Challenge #12

Hi there!
I’m so happy that I could play along with the Color Cue Challenge #12! I have to confess, these colors looked way too hard at first, so I put it off for a bit. After being “stuck in a rut” for a while, I figured I should just give it a shot. Here is the result….

I haven’t really had a chance to play with Poinsettia Patterns much, so I thought this would be a good time to pull it out. I think it works really well with Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions. What do you think?
I didn’t think I had inks to match this color combo, then I remembered my Brilliance ink pads! I used Jade and Purple. They work together so well! Then, just to add a teeny bit of bling, I used my Lavender rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed today’s card!

Get Well Soon

Happy Saturday to you!
It sure it a good Saturday for me. Why? Because I still have three more days of my extended weekend! I love when holidays are on a Monday! Hoping to catch up on some publication calls and possibly pick up a new purse. :)
Today I have a recent reject from a publication call. I actually have quite a few to share with you, but with my crafting time being semi limited lately, I thought I’d space them out.
I don’t know about you, but when I’m sick, I want to see bright colors to make me happy. Can you imagine receiving this card when you were feeling under the weather? I’ve actually never received a “get well soon” card, but I think I’d enjoy getting one like this. :)
Recently I’ve been pulling out my WPlus9 stamps out a lot more. It makes me sad to see them unused! I used one of the stamps in Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions for my focal point. LOVE this image!
I hope you have a super great weekend. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love today! ;)

Color Cue Challenge #11

Hi there!
I’m so excited….Dawn has resumed the Color Cue Challenges on her blog! I LOVE her color challenges, they are always such yummy combos! In addition to play with some fun colors, it reminds me to bring out her great stamps as well. :)
Today’s card is for the Color Cue Challenge #11. With these pretty pastel colors, I knew that I had to go with a baby-themed card. What better set than the Kisses & Cuddles! (Thank you again, Michele, for such a great gift!)
As you can see, I pulled out my newly purchased doilies again. It just seemed to go perfectly with this card! For the pink background, I stamped the Design Basics: Backgrounds I set- love this versatile set.
That’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Color Cue Challenge #10

Hi there, blog friends!
I’m so glad that I was able to find to play in the Color Cue Challenge #10. This time around, Dawn had each of her DT members create a color scheme- I wish I could have played with each and every one of them! However, I only had time for one, so I decided to go with Maile’s colors.
I had the hardest time deciding which WPlus9 set to use, but I kept coming back to the Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions. I love these bold images! Since this stamp is so large, I didn’t need to add too much else, which was a huge time saver.
It had been a while since I used my Fiskars Upper Crest border punch; I forgot how much I love it! Seriously, I have over 12 border punches….however, I can’t imagine selling or giving any away! One of these days I’ll do a post with the ones I have. :)
Here’s a closer picture of the focal point. You know me and my rhinestones, so I added a few to this large design. Love that the colors matches so perfectly!
Thanks so much for spending some time with me!
