A Guide to Using Sew Easy

Last month I celebrated my 25th birthday. You may remember that my bestie went all out for me (click here to view the recap). On top of a very special night, she gave me the Sew Easy roller and an additional adapter. I hadn’t told anyone that I had been eying this tool, but she just knew that I would want it. Love that my bestie knows me so well!

Recently I went to my local scrapbook store and spotted their Sew Easy display. I grabbed some basic thread, additional needles and the piercing mat, and I was good to go. SO thrilled that all of these things are reasonably priced!

After looking at all the supplies, I figured it would be the perfect time to do a photo tutorial. Granted, while it’s actually quite easy to use this product, it’s always handy to have step-by-step pictures, right? Only a few steps and you can have some amazing stitching on YOUR projects!

Items shown:
  • Sew Easy Roller
  • Sew Easy Zigzag Adapter
  • Sew Easy Piercing Mat
  • Sew Easy thread
  • Sew Easy needles
 {Gather supplies}
{Lay down cardstock; apply roller where stitching is desired}
{Thread needle and create knot; start stitching!}
{After stitching is completed in one direction, stitch other direction}
{After stitching is completed, tie knot and/or apply adhesive to secure thread}
{Here is the back of the packaging- look at all the different designs available!}
{Back of handle opens so you can store your needles}

Easy, peasy! Lately I have been utterly obsessed with using this tool on my projects. You’ll see a few of the things I’ve created next week. :)

If you enjoy the stitched look, but are intimidated by the sewing maching (like I am), this is the perfect solution!

Thanks for stopping by- I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

November Ramblings

It’s been two months since I did my last ramblings post. Boy, time sure does fly. I had fully intended on doing one last month, then I had a bunch of Halloween cards to share. This month, I vowed I would not forget. :)
For those new to my blog, I like to do these rambling posts about once a month. It’s a little peek inside my personal life, plus you can see how random I truly am. I have LOVED that so many of my blog friends have taken this on….I hope it continues…it’s been a little while since I’ve seen one.
  • Lately I have been seeing a TON of movies. My most recent favorite: Morning Glory. Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard in this movie. Definitely a fun one to see with girlfriends!
  • I recently discovered the Creme Brulee Lattes at Starbucks. Bliss in a cup!
  • Still refusing to believe that Christmas is next month. Really need to get on my game and start planning what I’m going to buy! Black Friday IS only 4 days away. Anyone else going to be out there at 2AM?
  • Started to take on running in my workouts. I want sexy slender legs! Granted, I can only run a few minutes at a time (building up stamina), but I can already see progress. By summer of next year, hopefully I can sport some cute shorts!
  • If I were to change professions, I think I’d try to do something related to radio. Music is a huge passion of mine. That may be why I go to so many concerts. :)
  • Have a spending problem and am trying hard to curb it. Vowing not to buy anything craft related until January.
  • Really want to have someone teach me to do cool things with make-up. I love how people can change up their make-up often and look amazing. Anyone have tips?
  • Hoping to ween myself off fast foods and sugary items. Why must they be so addicting?!
  • Got black nail polish on my nails and toes. L.O.V.E!
  • SUPER happy that my family is back. They were on the road for NINE weeks. So thankful they are home for a while.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love! If you happen to do a ramblings post, be sure to let me know ! I’d love to stop by your blog and get to know you better! ♥

    September PCD Sneak Peek

    Today I have two posts- this one is the clue to the next Practicing Creativity set, and then in a few hours I’ll have a brand new card. (Please stop by for that one!)
    I cannot believe that it is already September 1st! This month, the fabulous Courtney has a hot new set that you all will love. For this particular sneaky peek, each of the PCD team has a letter to share. Be sure to start at the beginning:
    Courtney’s blog
    Karen’s blog
    Paulina’s blog (that’s me!)
    Dana’s blog

    We each have a hidden letter on our blogs, so you’ll want to be sure to visit them (in order) to get the clue! Once you have your answer, be sure to head over to Courtney’s blog and guess what will be in the set! Also, there’s a chance to win the set!!!

    My letter: L

    I can’t wait to start showing you the cards with this new set. Each of the DT members ROCKED this one- you will love looking at all the eye candy!

    I’ll see you back here in a few hours! :)

    Practicing Creativity Sneak Peek

    Hello blog friends!
    I’m excited to announce that the new Practicing Creativity stamps (yes, more than one!) are coming out in a few days. This month Courtney has designed two sets that are AMAZING. I literally gasped when I saw one of them- it’s so unique and will be a welcome addition to your collections. Be sure to check back on my blog these next few days…I’ll be bringing lots of fun cards! (It truly isn’t hard with these great sets!)
    This month Courtney is putting a fun twist on the guessing game. Instead of showing a distorted image, each of us are putting up pictures with a small peek at what’s in store for one of the sets. Visit the following blogs for more peeks of the set:
    Karen

    Dana

    Courtney
    Be sure to leave your guess on her blog!

    In other exciting PCD news, Karen is joining the design team! I have followed Karen’s blog for a little while, and boy is this girl talented. She always has such unique cards and some fabulous ideas. Be sure to pop on over and congratulate her!
    Have a great Sunday! I’ll be back tomorrow with a card from the new set!

    Clear & Simple App

    Hi, blog readers!

    Do you all remember when I did my $50 gift certificate giveaway last week? I had a list of eight companies that the lucky winner could choose from. Well, one of the choices was Clear & Simple Stamps. I have heard great things about this company, but never had the privilege of owning any of their stamps or products. Nicki, one of the owners, saw that I was offering CSS as one of the options for the giveaway. Being the sweet gal that she is, she sent me an email thanking me and then offered me a free stamp set! How sweet is that?!
    With my Kind Deeds stamp set I created a refreshing card. Thanks to the encouraging of Nicki, I submitted my card to be considered for the Clear & Simple Papercrafting App. Isn’t it cool that they have their own app? With this app, you’ll get daily inspiration featuring CSS stamps. I’m SO excited to announce that my card will be featured on the app tomorrow, May 23rd!

    I hope you will check out the app and also the Clear & Simple website! I’ll be back a little later with a brand new & fun card- can’t wait to show you!
