Thank you to all who participated in my Sizzix Giveaway! I loved reading where you receive the best customer service! Before I announce the winner I want to again thank Maria from It’s Cheaper Than Therapy for sponsoring this giveaway. I hope you all got a chance to browse her amazing selection of dies!
I know you are all waiting to hear who won, so without further ado, the winner is Ayana Posadas!
Here is what she said “I love the customer service at my local craft store in South FL. The store is called Stamp Shack, and they are ALWAYS sooo helpful there! :) I just started following this blog with my Google Reader! I Love it! :)”
Ayana, please send me an email with your snail mail address. My email address is located on the right side of my blog- just click on the pink envelope.
Thanks girlies for spreading the word and for all your support of my blog!
I hope that you all have had a great weekend and were able to get lots accomplished. This morning I had a training session at the gym, took a much needed nap and gots lots of crafting in. I made a total of five cards- I even made one for the Papertrey Blog Hop! Since I’ll be away at CHA this upcoming weekend, I didn’t know if I would get a chance to make anything. I’m so glad that I had some time to get creative and also retrieve some of my lost mojo! :)
Isn’t the Embellish challenge fun this week? I am so lovin’ all of the different challenges and also the new addition of some prizes! This week the colors were kraft, brown and purple {yikes!}. I always seem to have a hard time incorporating purple into cards- not a color in my comfort zone. I didn’t have the right purple inkpad, so I was only able to add some purple ribbon. However, I really love that it’s a neutral card with the added pop of color from the stunning Plum Pudding grosgrain ribbon.
The countdown begins for the CHA SuperShow! I leave in 4 days and need to start thinking of what to pack. I heard that it’s in the 70’s….can it really be?! I have gotten used to the gloomy weather of Washington- it’ll be nice to see some sunshine and warm weather!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you were inspired!
Stamps: Three Line Border, Signature Greetings, Turning A New Leaf, Paper: Cream, Brown Kraft, Dark Chocolate Ink: Vintage Sepia, Tea Dye Duo Other: EK Success border punch, brown rhinestones, Plum Pudding grosgrain ribbon, corner rounder
I know this isn’t a “normal” Christmas day post….however I noticed that I did one of these last Christmas. Thought I would make it a tradition on the blog. :)
I think Kristin Bell is absolutely adorable. I loved her in Veronica Mars {why did they cancel that show?!}. I haven’t really seen her in too many other projects- however, she is super cute and has good comedic timing. This movie looks like a fun movie to see with some girlfriends. {Ginny, you better want to see this one with me!}
Did anyone else think that Amy Adams did a great job in Julie & Julia? I heard some say that she ruined the movie. However, I strongly disagree. In fact, she did such a great job that I just had to buy it the day it came out. Moving on to her upcoming project….Leap Year looks like a sweet movie. I personally don’t think I would ever propose to my future husband, but it’s a cute idea. I’m such a “fairy tale girl”-I want it to be romantic and him to get on one knee. If only I could find the right guy…..
What is up with all this chick flick movies?! Jennifer Lopez is once again starring in a cute, girly movie. I love so many of her movies {Main in Manhattan, the Wedding Planner, Monster- in-Law}. She also has great comedic timing.
Do I really have to say why I want to see this movie? I used to be in love with Channing Tatum…however, I have moved on to Wentworth Miller. I still do like Channing, I’m just not obsessed with him any longer. :) This movie looks like a tear jerker {my mom even teared up in the TRAILER!} I’m not a huge Amanda Seyfried fan, so hopefully I’ll still enjoy the movie.
Steve Carrell and Tiny Fey? Can you say HILARIOUS?! If the trailer is any indication, I’ll be laughing non-stop in this movie. There’s a little action, lots of comedy and a tad bit of romance…what more could you ask for in a movie? ;)
How are you all doing on this blissful Autumn day? Here in Washington the sun is just starting to rise, and it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day. {It’s cold, but at least it’s not raining!}
I cannot believe that’s it’s almost the end of the week already. This week really flew! Last night while I was stamping, I realized that I have only ONE month to prepare for my craft fair. Oh goodness, I’m a little bit stressed! I really don’t have all that much merchandise…. I’m going to be bringing everything I have in my Etsy store, so that will help a tiny bit. So far I have a couple of notebooks, a few post it note covers, various cards and some gift tags. Yikes-a-bee! {anyone else seen Win a Date with Tad Hamilton?} I really need to get moving on my products- December is going to be here before I know it!
Oh, I don’t think I told you all yet…. I’m going to be going to California in two weeks! I’m excited, but also a little worried. Since work is picking up for Christmas, I’m scared to see all the work I’ll have for me when I get back. Also, since my craft fair will be the next weekend, I’m hoping that I’ll have almost everything prepped. We are FINALLY taking a family vacation. Yes, most families do theirs in the Summer….not us! Since we have all been crazy busy, this was the only time we could make it work.
That’s all for now. Got to work early so I figured I would give you all a post. :) Hope you all have a grand Thursday!
I made it! I have officially blogged for a year! Granted, I wasn’t always consistent, but I DID carry it out. I feel like I should do something special, but I’m out of ideas, and also low on $$. Since I recently did the BIG Cuttlebug blog candy, I think I’ll have to wait a little bit to do another big thing. I’m already starting to think of ideas though….if you want to add a suggestion, be sure to let me know! ;)
Thanks to all of you who have followed my blog and those who leave sweet comments & compliments! I don’t think I will ever tire of reading comments. If anything, they are just feeding my appetite for more! LOL Keep them coming, they make blogging that much more fun!
You know that I love sharing my good finds on giveaways. There is a nice, big one on theDeNami Design blog! I have personally used all of these items and LOVE LOVE LOVE them!
Be sure to pass this along….it’s always fun to share good finds!
Let me start out by saying, that this is definitely a “RANT” post. I’m not my usual, cheery self today. It pretty much started at the beginning of the week…..
Nothing terrible happened really, but work felt like it was dragging along each day this week. I don’t know why, since I had plenty to do and was really busy. I just felt really down and stressed…I was kinda irritable too…not too pleasant to be around. (Sorry Mom!) Anyways, I was SO glad it was Thursday and I was finally completed with my week at work. I got off an hour early and was able to head off to the chiropractor for a much needed adjustment. Traffic wasn’t horrible, so it felt like my weekend was off to a good start. Unfortunately, this was not the case at all. I came home to see a letter on the counter for me. Not too strange, but it looked official and I didn’t recognize the return address. Well, turns out that it was a collections bill. Thing is, the bill was from 3 1/2 years ago! I had never received a bill, or at least it never got to me. In my mind, I had NO debt and I was finally on the road to a clean start. I thought all my accounts were taken care of, but apparently I was very wrong. Normally these things don’t bug me, but this amount was ridiculous. I called the collections agency and asked if we could settle on an amount, and they said yes. However, it was still way more than I had thought I would have to pay. After going back and forth with the guy, I just broke down and said to charge my card so I could be done with all this. I didn’t want it going on my credit record, even though it really shouldn’t. (It’s a long story, and I’m not going to go into it.) After cringing after seeing the amount get deducted out of my account, I have the lady at the car dealership (I was getting an oil change), tell me that my car fluids needed to be changed. I asked how much that would cost, and the total was $420 + tax. Honestly, I just wanted to cry. I just got charged a HUGE amount for a bill that I should not have to pay, and then hear that I have to fork out another $420+ for my car. I think what upset me the most was that I paid $1200+ and I really had nothing to show for it. No cute shows, clothes, purses, make-up, etc. I have to admit, I did cry on the way home from the car dealership. This was definitely not the way that I wanted my weekend to start. Hopefully it gets better…..
