We are a week away from Christmas and if you’re like me, you’re still running a little bit behind. Thankfully, I’ve been able to get quite a few gifts online and I’ll be doing the rest later today. I thought this year, I’d do something new and create some gift guides to share on the blog. These are handy in case you need some new ideas on what to give your family and friends this year.
In the spirit of this holiday season, I’m going to be doing four giveaways- one in this post and three more on specific Gift Guide pages. How will you find them? Visit each gift guide and you’ll see where the giveaways are. No need to follow the blog or social media- I’m making these giveaways super easy and you just need to leave comments!
Want to win a $50 Amazon gift card? Take a look at the gift guides that I put together and list the 3 (or more) things that I listed that you now want! I spent a lot of time curating these lists, so I’d love to see which items caught your eye!
I’m giving away over $100 in giveaways, so be sure to share these gift guides with your friends! I hope you have fun browsing through these items. Wishing you a great rest of the Christmas season!
Like these lists? Share them on Pinterest, Facebook or Instagram!
To begin, I first watercolored the background for my card panel. Then I stamped the images from Holiday Pals and Rainy Days stamp sets on a watercolor paper and watercolored each image and used the coordinating die-cuts for each one. To watercolor each images I used the Zig Clean Real Brush 60 set, which really versatile. If you don’t want to color it directly on the watercolor paper you can put down the color on the acrylic block and use your wet paint brush to get the color from the block and start watercoloring this way.
To begin my holder for the gift card, I cut a piece of cardstock bigger than the gift card and traced the lines using the gift card and used the lines as guide on where to put the die-cut. Like the picture below, I left the top part of the cardstock and the die-cut hanging, this will avoid cutting when you ran the plate through the machine.
The cloud die cut from the Rainy Days coordinating dies is really pretty holding the Gift Card. You can try using different kinds of die-cuts to create your own designs for your Gift Card holder.
This is just another look of the Gift Card adhered inside of the card.
Finally, I adhered the pieces from Holiday Pals and Rainy Days using foam tape and finished it off with lots of 6mm & 4mm Clear Droplets using the Multi Medium Matte adhesive. It’s the best for little embellishments!
Want to win the Rainy Days stamp set, coordinating dies and droplets? Paulina is giving one away in today’s post! It’s a great way to add to your collection, or it would make a fun Christmas present to a crafty friend!
I wanted to share a card today, but the last few days have been extra rough on the health front. For my prayer warriors, if you could pray for me, I’d appreciate it. I have the big November release around the corner, several design deadlines and orders to fulfill, so being stuck in bed has been really hard. I’ll be posting another health/ post car accident update in the near future, since so many have been asking. In the meantime, well wishes and prayers are appreciated!
Okay, now onto the giveaway winners from the last few blog posts….
Here is the lucky winner of the Holiday Party Animal stamp set and PPP sequins from THIS post!
And here are the winners of the $25 pretty Pink Posh gift certificates from the Product Release Blog Hop. A giant thank you to everyone who hopped along and left comments. Not only did you make my day, but I know that the design team and special guests loved hearing from you as well! Here are the two lucky winners for this month:
Ladies, please email me within 7 days and I’ll send over the gift certificates to you!
Lastly, be sure to join us on Friday, October 23rd for a special collaboration blog hop. It’s been a while since we did a collaboration with a company and this one will blow you away. The design team created all sorts of amazing projects that you will definitely be inspired by.
Thank you all so much for stopping in and for continuing to share about Pretty Pink Posh. It’s been so neat to see the numbers grow and finding more and more of your creations featuring PPP. I’m so grateful that you all are allowing me to live my dream!
I’m back with another Halloween card- this one shows off the darling new Holiday Party Animal set from Lawn Fawn. They included so many adorable little additions in this set- it definitely is a “must have” in my book!
I wanted to start off with a lot of gray and black and then have a pop of color in the middle. Thanks to the squares in the Stitched Duo 3 die set, I was able to accomplish this look easily. You could use this idea with all sorts of colors and it would look great!
I’ve mentioned in previous Halloween cards that the Teeny Star Background from DeNami Design is one of my favorites. I love stamping it with black ink and creating backgrounds, or in this case, filling in some white space. I think it helps bring together the black from the card base and set the scene for a Halloween card.
To finish off the card, I decided to add some twine and a trio of sequins from the Sparkling Clear Mix. Notice the three sizes of sequins? That’s all in one mix, along with another larger size. It’s perfect if you’re just starting to collect sequins, or you’re a fan of the Sparkling Clear.
I purchased an extra set of the Holiday Party Animal and want to give it away to one of you, along with a pack of sequins! With these products, you’ll be set to create all sorts of fun holiday cards.
Be sure to mark your calendars for tomorrow, October 15th. I have a super fun blog hop that will showcase the new dies, sequins and droplets and I’m bringing along the design team and some amazing special guests, and there will be prizes! If you’re on Facebook, be sure to visit the blog hop event page HERE– there are two giveaways happening over there right now!
I am so very excited to share that Pretty Pink Posh designer, Joni, will be sharing tutorials here on the blog. I know you all love tutorials and with the busyness of orders and behind-the-scenes work, I’m not able to do them often. I knew I needed to fill this void and Joni so graciously offered to do a feature twice a month. She’ll be sharing how to do different techniques, start-to-finish cards and there may be some surprises in between!
With that intro, let’s get into her first official blog post here.
To begin my card I first stamped the hot air balloon image from the Darling Friends stamp set on a white cardstock a few times, then colored them with Copics.
Next, I fussy cut the top of the balloon, scored the middle, folded, and adhered it with glue. Then I adhered the balloon like an accordion on top of the die-cut hot air balloon image.
Before adhering the die-cut hot air balloon and kitty, I first distressed the white card based with Distress ink in Peacock Feather then splattered it with Studio Calico Mister Huey’s in Shine.
Next, I die-cut the hills for the scene using the Stitched Border dies 1 and distressed it with Distress ink pad in Crushed Olive. Then adhered on the distressed card based with foam tape with dimension. Next, I adhered the mountain die-cut image then added the dog and bunny as if they are peaking through the hill.
For the sentiment, I stamped it on a white cardstock and gold heat embossed cut the strip then adhere at the bottom of the card panel using foam tape.
In celebration of Joni becoming a blog contributor and the popularity of the STAMptember Darling Friends set, I thought it would be fun to do a giveaway in today’s post.
Over the weekend I received word that Simon Says Stamp restocked the Pretty Pink Posh STAMPtember exclusive set! This is VERY rare for the exclusive sets, but I am thrilled more of you are able to get it for a limited time. If you missed out the first time, hurry and get these while you can!
I hope you guys enjoyed Joni’s first feature. Be sure to leave her lots of love and encouragement! I’ll be back later this week… have a good one!
This weekend I did something different- I purposely took time off work! I know, I can barely believe it myself! The last few months I’ve been working so incredibly hard that I decided to reward myself with a little “me” time. In other words, I spent some time with my craft supplies and got to create, just for fun! That means I’ll have new cards to share soon, too!
Today I wanted to announce two brand new Pretty Pink Posh designers to the team. Both of these gals have used my products on their creations and over the months, I’ve been stalking their blogs and social media waiting for just the right time to invite them to the team. I was so thrilled that they both ecstatically accepted!
In honor of these two talented gals joining my team, I wanted to do a giveaway. So many of you have mentioned you have a long wish list, so I thought this post was the perfect time to host a giveaway.
One question I get often from readers, “How do companies choose designers?”. Good news! A while back I did a series and had some fabulous input from other companies in the industry like Mama Elephant, Winnie & Walter, Lawn Fawn and more! Want to read the five part series? CLICK HERE or click on the graphic below.
I hope that you all have a great start to your week and give the new designers a warm welcome! Thanks for spending some time with me today.
Oh my, this weekend has been a whirlwind. I spent the last few days up until 3, 4 and 5 AM working on orders, finalizing details of the Watercolor Blog Hop and slowly getting things a little more organized in the studio. Slowly but surely, things are being crossed off the to-do list, which is always a good thing.
Over the weekend, Laura emailed me saying she needed to step down from the team due to her school schedule. As many of you know, she’s in her last year of high school, so school is super important. I am so sad she’s no longer part of the team, but I’m grateful for the time she was with us. I wish you all the best, Laura!
Today I wanted to announce the brand new Pretty Pink Posh designer. She is an amazing crafter that I’ve been admiring for quite some time and I am honored to have her joining our team. I love her beautiful crafting style, plus her videos are always so much fun to watch. Please join me in welcoming Carissa Wiley to the team!
In other news, today the gals over at CardMaker magazine are doing a mini blog hop featuring Pretty Pink Posh! I saw some of the cards and they are super creative. If you feel like a little Monday inspiration, visit their blogs:
To celebrate this mini hop, I’m hosting a giveaway that features some of my current favorites in the shop. (These are like my babies, it’s hard to pick a true favorite)
I hope that you all have a great start to your week! Thanks for spending some time with me today. I’ll be back later this week with some cards and blog hop winners!
Today I was planning on doing a personal post, but I realized I needed to announce the winners of the last two blog posts. This weekend was filled with surprises (which I’ll go into in my next post), so this got a little bit delayed. Instead of doing just a winner announcement post, I thought I’d throw in a card I haven’t shared on the blog, too.
This card is actually one I created back in December, but never got around to sharing. It features the darling Monster Celebrations set by DeNami Design- one of their very first clear sets! I’m a sucker for sets that bring a smile to your face and this one definitely does.
I wanted to use the Peek-A-Boo die in a creative way, so I decided to keep the bottom folds closed and use it as a pocket. The rectangle tag from the Stitched Tags fits into the “pocket” perfectly! One of my favorite things about these monsters are the versatility. You could use them for graduation, promotions, doing well in school…
Did you notice the coloring I did on the “hooray”? I’m totally loving the ombre look lately and it’s super easy to achieve with Copics.
I have emailed and sent over the gift certificates to you four ladies. I hope you have lots of fun browsing the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and crossing things off your wish list!
Well, that’s going to wrap up today’s post. I’m so happy to see so many of you jumping aboard the sequin bandwagon and also enjoying the dies that I’ve been designing. I just sent another batch of new die designs to get made… lots more fun things in store these next few months!
I wanted to pop in really quickly to announce the winner of the Valentine giveaway I hosted. I haven’t had a chance to read all of the stories yet, but the ones that I did read put a smile on my face. Thank you for sharing little bits of your happy with me!
The lucky, random winner is…..Betty Sue, I have emailed you and also sent the $40 gift certificate, so be sure to check your inbox. Reading your story was so heartwarming- continue on being a shining teacher and making a difference (even to those who aren’t your students).
Thank you to everyone who joined along in the giveaway. Gotta get back to those President’s Day orders….
I’m alive and somewhat on the mend from this illness I picked up from California. It’s been a full week of trying to recoup, resting whenever possible and trying to take on a lighter workload, but I’m still not feeling all the great. I’m back at it, working on orders and getting through the daily workload, but I could really use some well wishes and prayers. The amount of orders I’m sitting on is absolutely mind-blowing, so I’m hoping I can get back to “normal” so I can ship, ship, ship for days on end. In the meantime, THANK YOU for your patience!
As promised, I’m announcing the winners from the 3 day birthday celebration that took place January 8-10. You all made this event even more amazing, memorable and fun than I could have ever expected. I hope that you were inspired and I cannot wait to try to top this event next year!
Let me start out by announcing the two lucky gals who won the big prize packs….
And now it’s time to announce the random lucky winners from the 3 day birthday celebration. Each of the ladies listed below will receive a $50 Pretty Pink Posh gift certificate for leaving comments during the blog hop.
ALL WINNERS MUST CONTACT ME BY JANUARY 23rd, or a new winner will be picked as a replacement. If you are one of the gift certificate winners, please email me so I can send over your gift certificate code.
If you watched the lastest video, you know that I’m working on a special, exclusive mix for my friends at Winnie & Walter. Be sure to mark your calendars for January 30th when this mix will go live, along with some of your favorite PPP products. I’m so honored they wanted to celebrate their event with my products and I hope they have an AMAZING and memorable birthday celebration.
Well, that’s going to wrap it up for this post. So grateful for each and every one of you.
