2 Sketches 4 You- Laura’s Sketch #54

Hi there!

I know I haven’t made an “official” announcement, but I know that lots of you found out. For last week’s 2S4Y sketch (card found here) I was chosen as the Card of the Week! I was so shocked and honored when I found out. Thanks to those who have left me love regarding this! You guys are so sweet!
Okay….moving on to the card at hand….I couldn’t help but play with Laura’s sketch #54 this week. As usual, she designed a fab sketch! I took a little liberty with this one, but overall I stayed true to the sketch. I felt like creating a fun card so I brought out some of my cute Lawn Fawn stamps. :) These always put a smile on my face!
In closing I want to mention that I have a few different YouTube videos posted- there are a total of five different ones. Click here to view my channel. Also, if you are interested in seeing more, be sure to “subscribe” on YouTube!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope you were inspired!

Sending You Love + Video

Hello blog friends!
Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was FILLED with fun- almost too much for one weekend! Babysat for the first time in 6+ years. I must admit, I was a wee bit nervous but it went perfectly. My friend has the cutest kids ever! We did some swinging, reading, playing and of course, eating! Super good times. When my schedule calms down (August!) I hope to do it again. I love kids and I also love blessing my friends. :)
Today I have a pretty card to share. This card was really inspired by Wendy– would have never thought to use the tree horizontally! I used one of my favorite sentiments Sending You Love for this one- have I said that it’s super versatile? ;) Below is a video on how to create the card from start-to-finish.
I hope you enjoyed the card and video! I don’t have any more videos planned….I need more ideas! If you have suggestions be sure to send me an email or leave a comment! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hugs & Kisses

Hello there!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start. It was such a pleasant surprise to wake up to the gorgeous sunshine- can’t wait to go out and enjoy it! Today I’m planning on going to get a pedicure before my Florida trip. Oh goodness, my toes have been quite neglected recently. :( It will be so nice to relax and get my toes all pretty!
Today I have a super simple card to share. Can you believe there are ZERO layers? I used one sheet of cardstock and then die cut my shape so there was a window. Easy peasy! Now I don’t know if this is technically a one-layer card, but it’s about as close as I can do! You know how much I love layers…even though this card is simple, it was a stretch for me. :)
I hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Miss You Butterflies

Hello there!
Did this week go by super quickly for anyone else? I can’t believe it’s already Friday! It’s the start of my weekend which means housework + packing for my trip. I recently went shopping, so I think I’m set for summer clothes. (At least I hope so!) It’s been so long since I have endured 90 degree weather- hopefully my body can handle it! 6 days and counting….
At the beginning of the month Dawn released two new sets. Boy was I happy when I saw that I was the winner of the Background Builders: Hearts set. I know that hearts are normally thought of with Valentine’s Day, but let me tell you, it’s great all year round! I love all the different heart borders that are included in this set- so many choices! I paired this set up with some other fab WPlus9 sets. :)

Do you remember me mentioning getting pics done with my sis last week? I just got a few of them from the photographer so I had to share. Didn’t she do an amazing job?! I cannot wait to receive more of them- you can be sure I’ll post more pics! (What do you think of the hair cut?)

Thanks for stopping by today, blog friends! Have a FANTABULOUS Friday!

2 Sketches 4 You- Kazan’s Sketch #54

Happy Wednesday!
Before I start, I must say that it feels weird when I don’t post daily. I’m so used to writing posts or having something scheduled- it’s strange when I see the last post was a few days ago. Is that weird? I have a TON of new cards to share, but I just haven’t gotten around to scanning them in. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to scan in a weeks worth so I won’t have to miss any blog posts when I’m in Florida.
It’s been quite a while since I played along with 2S4Y. Every single Monday I take a look at the new sketch, but rarely do I actually have time to play along. (Why are there only 24 hours in a day?) This week the sketch was super easy (thanks Kazan!), so I had no excuse not to whip something up. I literally did whip this up- 20 minutes is pretty good in my book! ;)
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope this card inspired you to play along with Kazan’s Sketch #54!

Let Freedom Ring

Hello, sweet blog friends!
I know that I say this every Monday, but didn’t the weekend go by entirely too fast?! My weekend was packed with different activities. I got my haircut (pics coming soon!!), went to my sisters photo session (also got some cute pics taken), went to a birthday party, hit the gym for the first time in two weeks and of course, created lots more cards. What did YOU do?
Over the weekend I received my brand new Lawn Fawn alphabet set. This set is super cute and so easy to use! My favorite part: there are multiples of the letters!! I feel like I had been neglecting some of my non-DeNami stamps recently, so I decided to play for a bit. :) I used the versatile Design Basics: Background 1 set from WPlus9 for my background. This star design screams 4th of July to me. Can you believe this is the first patriotic card (that I have made) that I actually liked? I have tried once or twice before and failed miserably. Now I have no idea who I’m going to give this to…it was just fun to make. :)
This week is going to be C.R.A.Z.Y for me. I have work and sometime I need to go shopping for clothes before my trip to Florida next week. Oh yes, and a pedicure is a must also. Can’t go on a trip with non-pretty toes! I’m getting super excited about meeting my blog friends!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a fabulous rest of your day!

Barefoot Summer Day #3

Hello and welcome!

It’s the day before the release of Barefoot Summer from Practicing Creativity. Hasn’t these sneak peeks been fun?! You’ve seen the tree image, flipflops and now it’s time to show off the fun flower images! I hope that you’ve been visiting the blogs of the other PCD design team. Just in case, here are their links:

For the first card I wanted to create a fun patterned paper. You all know that I love creating them. :) This one was so easy- these designs are perfect for it! To dress up the card I added some hot pink rhinestones and I used my pleated ribbon technique. If you’re new to my blog, I have done a video tutorial on how to create this look. Click here to view the video.

This next card is super easy but definitely stands out. As you can see, I used lots of bright colors. It just seemed right considering this set is called Barefoot Summer. *wink* Thanks to the many, many requests I’ve had for a video showcasing cards start-to-finish, I’ve created one for this card!

I hope you enjoyed these cards and the video! It was all so fun to create! Don’t forget that this set releases tomorrow! Be sure to stop by the fabulous Courtney’s blog for a chance to win this set and also to see a new video + more card samples.
I’ll be back in a couple hours for my new DeNami Design challenge card- I’ll see you then!

Embellish Labels Color Challenge

Hi there!

Well, it’s Friday….you know what that means? The new Embellish Color Challenge is up! I seriously love these challenges! The only thing better than these challenges would be to be featured or win! :) Hopefully one of these days….

The Embellish Labels Color Challenge required the use of some sort of label die. I decided to ink up my PTI Round & Round anniversary set for this one. Can you believe I have only played with it once before this?! I’m still deciding if I truly like it or not. What are your thoughts? Are you interested in purchasing a brand new one? I have an extra if anyone is interested. (Feel free to email me- click on the pink envelope on the sidebar.)

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I’m planning on going with my little sis to get her senior pictures done. So crazy that she is graduating! Hoping that the photographer will take a few pics of me and my new sassy haircut. :)

Be sure to stop by my blog tomorrow. I’ll have a project for the DeNami Product Challenge AND I’ll be featuring a card using the new Practicing Creativity set. In addition to these, I’ll also have a video tutorial! Lots of fun things!!

Thanks so much for spending some time with me! Have a fabulous Friday!

Barefoot Summer Day #2

Hello blog friends!

It’s Day #2 of the Barefoot Summer sneak peeks! As promised, today I’m bringing you a bright Summer card. I created my own patterned paper using the three flipflops from this set. Aren’t they cute?! Even though I’m from Washington, I LOVE wearing flipflops. Confession: I own way too many considering I only have two feet. :)

Speaking of flipflops….I’m so excited that I actually get to wear some soon! In exactly two weeks I will be in sunny (and hot!) Florida. I get to meet FOUR blog friends- I cannot wait! If you’re in that area, I’ll be working in the DeNami Design booth for the StampFest convention. All the info can be found here.

I hope you enjoyed this cheery card. Be sure to stop by Dana’s blog today- she has a great picture tutorial featuring flipflops. Also, don’t forget to visit Courtney’s blog! You could win this new set!

Thanks for stopping by, dear friends! Hope you were inspired!

This month Courtney has designed a super fun set- perfect for the upcoming Summer months! This set has so many great designs….however, today we are focusing on the whimsical tree image.

When I first saw the tree, I knew right away that I wanted to use my Copics. I know that I didn’t use them to their fullest potential- still don’t know the “proper” way to use them. :) After coloring the tree and adding LOTS of paper scallops, I decided that the tree needed some bling. Really loving the orange rhinestones these days. They are so fun and the color is so perfect for Summer cards!

Be sure to stop by the other Practicing Creativity design team blogs for other GREAT uses of this image!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card featuring Barefoot Summer. You may want to bring your sunglasses- it’s a bright one. :)
