Cards

With Love Wreath

Happy Friday to you!
It is a SUPER good day for me….today is the TobyMac concert that I’ve been anticipating for months! :) So excited to go out with a couple friends and have fun!
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with everything Valentine themed. I love this holiday- the colors, what it represents, and of course, creating PRETTY cards! Yes, I may be single and don’t technically have a Valentine, BUT I do have family and friends! Now on to today’s card…..

I simply love the Rosevine Heart. It’s elegant and pretty, and it’s also fun to color! I contemplated leaving the middle of the heart empty, but then I remembered this perfect sentiment. (From the new Love Sentiments set)
Here you can see I added some Magenta glitter. This is one of my FAVORITE glitter colors ever! If you’re a glitter lover, this color is definitely a must have.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a great Friday!

Birthday Fish

Hi-ya, blog friends!
Well, today is my dad’s birthday- he has ONE year left before the big 5-0! For each birthday/ anniversary/ Father’s Day, I feel like I have to come up with a spectacular card. This year, I just didn’t have the energy to come up with something elaborate, like I usually do, so I thought I’d go with funny and simple. :)
Let’s go dive (in the sea) shall we….
When I do cards for my dad, I usually like to put seven of some element, since there are seven people in our family. This time, I went with the super cute fish from the Sea Friends stamp set. I just love these little guys!
Here’s a closer look at the fish. Yup, I colored each one to fit each person’s favorite colors (except my dad….a black fish wouldn’t look good!). The “bubbles” are from the Under the Sea stamp set, along with the seaweed and treasure chest.
I hope this card brought a smile to your face- I definitely was grinning when I was making it! Let’s hope my dad likes this card….if he does, he’ll most likely have it near the register at some upcoming stamp shows. :)
Have a good one!

Simply Silhouettes

Hi there!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I hit the gym (check out my fitness blog) and then got in quite a bit of stamping. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I was able to accomplish. :)
A few days ago, I posted a card featuring Wilson Designs– a company started by Kim Wilson. I loved playing with Simply Silhouettes so much, I just HAD to pull it out again! This time, I brought out one of the pretty frames and the chair image from the set.
I am utterly in love with this frame- it’s so elegant and a great size. On top of that, there are two other awesome frames in the set! Anyhow, back to the card…. I had to pull out one of my doilies for this card, it seemed to fit the card so well. (Plus, I’m totally addicted)
I hope you enjoyed today’s card! I had so much fun making it; definitely going to be pulling out these stamps again. Be sure to check out Kim’s sets- they’re super inexpensive and the designs are fabulous!

Mimi & Friends

Hello there!
Here I am writing this at 6 something….on a Saturday morning! Not exactly what I had wanted, but for some reason, sleep is evading me. :(
Today’s card features the adorable Mimi’s Pajama Party stamp. I think this design is so fun, and it reminds me of me and my “adopted” sisters.  We always stay up late talking into the wee hours of the night- we usually look like this too! (Minus the teddy bear)

I usually do pinks and purples when I color in Mimi, but I wanted to change it up. I decided to go with greens, blues and red. What do you think? It took me a while to get used to the combo, but now I really like it!
This card only features TWO designs: Mimi’s Pajama Party and the Medium Polka Dots (must have). Speaking of polka dots….Simon Says Stamp has a polka dot challenge right now! Yup, you KNOW I’m entering this card. :)
Thanks for visiting me today! Hope YOU have a great Saturday!

Colour Q Challenge #68

Thursday greetings to you!
I’m so happy that I was able to create something for the new Colour Q Challenge! These colors are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G together! As soon as I saw the combo, I had all these ideas running through this crazy brain…..

My card today features the awesome designs by Wilson Designs. Kim recently had a new release, and I HAD to buy the set the day it came out. It is so unique and absolutely darling! I paired up the new set with an “older” one, Everything’s Owlright. Be sure to check out her cute little store!
Here you can see the designs a little better. Aren’t they precious? I love that little dog! Of course, knowing me, I had to add a little bling in there. :)
Hope you all have a fabulous day! Off to start my work day…..

Sweet Valentine

Hey there, blog friends!
I don’t know about you, but I TOTALLY in Valentine mode these days. In between seeing the decorations at various stores (which I’m having a hard time resisting), and then all of the yummy new Valentine stamps in the DeNami Design release, I pretty much have no hope. Oh yes, and let’s not forget about the newly made-over DeNami homepage. *swoon*
With all of this around me, I just couldn’t help but create some Valentine cards. I am SO in love with the new Hearts stamp set; seriously, four cute hearts in one set? Then on top of that, we released a Love Sentiments stamp set. Cannot get enough of these two paired together!  If you missed the sneak posts with these images, check them out here. Andrea and Laurie did a phenominal job with their cards…
Here’s a close up of the hearts. Honestly, can you resist that polka dot heart? :) I have more cards/ projects with these beauties, so hopefully you love them as much as I do!
That’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Color Cue Challenge #11

Hi there!
I’m so excited….Dawn has resumed the Color Cue Challenges on her blog! I LOVE her color challenges, they are always such yummy combos! In addition to play with some fun colors, it reminds me to bring out her great stamps as well. :)
Today’s card is for the Color Cue Challenge #11. With these pretty pastel colors, I knew that I had to go with a baby-themed card. What better set than the Kisses & Cuddles! (Thank you again, Michele, for such a great gift!)
As you can see, I pulled out my newly purchased doilies again. It just seemed to go perfectly with this card! For the pink background, I stamped the Design Basics: Backgrounds I set- love this versatile set.
That’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Q Challenge #67

Hey there-
I have another card to share with you today! I know, I’m surprised too!  :) While doing my normal blog browsing, I saw that the Colour Q Challenge #67 was posted. I am getting so addicted to these things- this makes three in a row!
The colors on this challenge are SO fun and happy; how could you not smile when you look at them? I decided these colors would be perfect for a birthday card….
I recently purchased my very first set of paper doilies. I resisted for months and months, but after seeing so many beautiful creations with them, I finally caved. Thank goodness they aren’t expensive! :)  I wanted to create a happy-go-lucky type of card, so I combined a few different sets: two from PTI and one from WPlus9 Design Studio. (Love my girl, Dawn!)
Before I close, just a quick reminder that my $40 gift certificate giveaway is ending on Saturday!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great rest of your night!

Glittery Elephants

Hello there!
We have made it to the middle of the week! This week has been pretty full since I went to the gym 5 days in a row. I feel great, but it also doesn’t allow me to get stamping done at night! Gonna do some tonight….I need to get crafty!
Today the DT girls on the DeNami blog had their Product Spotlight posts. I must say, I miss “officially” being a part of these posts. However, I’m okay with cheering them on and seeing their projects ahead of time. :)  The feature this time around was the new (adorable) G152 Elephant.
When I first got the new images, this was the first card that I made. I seriously LOVE this image so much! For this card, I decided to let the elephants take center stage (it’s hard for them not to!). I must admit, I don’t know why I stacked them, but I thought it looked cute. ;)
I couldn’t leave the elephants plain (because that would just be silly), so I added our Blue Ice glitter. Isn’t that sparkle irresistible?
Be sure to pop on over to the DeNami blog to take a look at what the DT created. This little guy was used in so many cute ways- you just won’t be able to resist adding him to your cart. :)

Sweet Baby Sheep

Hi-ya, blog friends!
Before I get to today’s card, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all who left a comment on my Simply Scallops blog hop card. I was so blown away by all the SWEET comments! I had SO much fun on the hop- I hope you did too! Speaking of which, the latest DeNami blog hop theme was revealed today…can’t wait for that one!
I was recently going through my huge stash of stamps and came across the Sm. Side-view Sheep. I forgot how adorable (and fun) this little guy is. Pretty easy card, created a frame using the sheep, then added a few Spellbinder layers. For the sentiment I used the Sm. Baby Script. Even though this stamp has been out for years and years, it’s still a classic. :)

Note: I have NO idea who I’m going to give this card to…don’t know anyone who is expecting a boy. However, I love to have cards on hand; you just never know when you’ll need one!
When I finished the card, I just had to add some Baby Blue rhinestones. You know me and my bling! :)
I’ve gotten a few emails regarding my other blog: Fabulously Skinny. Hoping to get a cute graphic on my sidebar so you can easily get there. If you’re trying to get healthy/ fit in 2011, or just want to hear me ramble on some more, check out my other blog. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Have a fabulous rest of your Tuesday!
