Papertrey July Blog Hop

Are you amazed? Two blog posts in one day! It’s been a little while since that has happened! :)

This card was made specifically with the Papertrey July Blog Hop in mind. The theme: office supplies. I was hoping for something genius, but my creativity was lacking today. My sweet sister had some small silver clips, so that’s what I decided to use. I was going to do something with either paperclips or staples, but I just couldn’t think of anything super creative. I’m sure once I start browsing at the rest of the hop, I’ll find lots of great ideas!

Did you notice the fab Apple Basket? That’s from the new DeNami Design release. I LOVE these apples- they are so fun to color with Copics! I added lots of Papertrey stamps and finished off the card with some amazing wrinkled ribbon. Click here to see where I got my ribbon! The owner has so many colors to choose from, and she is super nice! If you buy anything, be sure to let her know PrettyPinkPosh sent you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. This card really makes me happy, and I hope it brightens your day as well. :)

Papertrey June Blog Hop

Hello, sweet blog friends!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve joined in on a Papertrey Blog hop. In between my busyness and the hard themes, I wasn’t able to play along. However, I wanted to make it a point to really try for it this month. Yay for achieving this goal!
This month the theme was Papertrey Color Combinations. It was such a hard decision but I chose: Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet and Dark Chocolate. This color combination is super fresh and I think the colors go together beautifully. I decided to keep the design of this card really simple- I wanted the colors to really shine through. I used my new EK Success Bracket Edger punch for the pretty edge. LOVE IT!
I’m so excited to see what others created for the blog hop. I know there is going to be some fabulous color combos to see!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today- I’ll see you tomorrow with a new card featuring some BRAND NEW DeNami stamps! :)

Stamps: Round & Round, Polka Dot Basics (PTI)
Paper: White, Dark Chocolate, Berry Sorbet, Spring Moss (PTI)
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Berry Sorbet (PTI)

Papertrey March Blog Hop

Hello ladies and gents!
It’s the 25th which can only mean one thing- Blog Hop over at Papertrey! For this month, the challenge was to use buttons on our projects. Well, you know that wasn’t hard for me- I have a million buttons and I love using them! :)
For this card I wanted to go with a fresh pastel color scheme. I recently paired up Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush together and LOVED the results so much that I had to do it again. (The original card in this color combo will be posted in the next few days!) I’m so loving my Beautiful Blooms II- especially since I bought one set of dies to go along with it! I’m now trying to decide die I want to get next! Any suggestions?
I’m looking forward to seeing your creations! Hope my card inspired you!

Stamps: Beautiful Blooms II, Heart Prints, Dots Background
Paper: White, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush
Ink: Smoky Grey, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush

Papertrey February Blog Hop

My card was inspired from these cards by Michelle Wooderson.

Wow, is it already the 25th again?! You know what the means…it’s the time for the Papertrey Blog Hop! This month we were called to find a card/project from a PTI DT member and use their project as inspiration. I found Michelle’s cards to be so inspiring. Love how fresh they feel!

For my take on the card I used the Funky Foliage stamp set for WPlus9. Such a fun set and these particular trees kinda look like shamrocks. ;) If you follow my blog you know that I love to add scraps/ strips of paper to my cards. As soon as I saw Michelle’s color combo and the fact there were strips of paper AND buttons, I knew I had to use her cards as my inspiration.

You may notice at the bottom of the card that I did some paper piercing. I love how a little tool can add so much to a card! Funny story: my sister was looking at this card IRL and asked how I added those “dots” (paper piercing). I told her that I did it by hand. She thought I was lying! She asked, “No, really. How did you do it?” I told her that I really did it by hand and it took forever. Her response? “Wow, that’s a waste of time”. Yeah….she just doesn’t get it. ;)

Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you were inspired!

Papertrey January Blog Hop

Happy Monday, dear friends!

Today was my first day back at work since returning from CHA. Oh goodness, my body & brain are so exhausted! Even though I went to bed early, my body is still feeling the effects of being on the go. If you didn’t get a chance, be sure to take a peek at the pics I took with some blogging regulars {aka Ashley Cannon Newell, Kelly Marie Alvarez, Maile Belles}.

Moving on to the card at hand…..this month’s challenge at Papertrey was to create a complete package card {ie front of card, inside of card and envie}. I rarely take the time to do everything on a card, however I’m thinking I should do this for some special people. I love the look of how everything matches!
I decided that I don’t use Ocean Tides as much as I should. This color is so elegant and is great for a masculine card. I pulled out the elegant Decorative Crest Circle from DeNami Design and Turning A New Leaf from PaperTrey Ink for this card. Don’t they go well together? Here is the decorated envie that I made to match the card. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out! Isn’t it fun to make everything coordinate? I’ll post more like this in the future, keep checking back! ;)
Here’s the final picture of the envie and card together. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you were inspired by today’s post!

Stamps: Hello Friend, Decorative Crest Circle, Turning A New Leaf, Dots Background
Paper: Cream, Dark Chocolate, Ocean Tides
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Fresh Snow, Ocean Tides
Other: Marvy 2½” scallop circle punch, Marvy 3″ scallop circle punch, corner rounder

Papertrey November Blog Hop

Oh goodness, can you believe it’s the 25th already?! I was busily going about my day yesterday when I realized I only had a couple hours to work on my PTI Blog Hop project! {I work so I can’t create at all hours of the day. Jealous of those of you who can!}

This months challenge was über fun. With the holidays around the corner, who doesn’t need a fun gift tag?! I actually made two tags but decided to post the more “traditional” Christmas one. Since I’ve been doing a TON of non-traditional Christmas color combos, I thought I’d post something different than the norm. I L-O-V-E how this tag turned out- I think I’ll need to make more! There are just some days when I’m totally surprised with what I make….yesterday was one of those days! :)

Well I can’t wait to see what all of you lovely peeps created. You all are so inspiring! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Papertrey October Blog Hop

Yippee! I *finally* get to participate in a Blog Hop! I have been eyeing them for quite some time, but never had the time to play along. With the October Blog Hop Challenge being so fun, I knew I had to join in. The challenge was to create holiday things. (cards, gifts, wraps, etc…)

A while back I bought some plain white post-it notes with the intention of making covers for them. After receiving the Holiday Button Bits stamp set, I knew I couldn’t prolong this task any longer. Seriously….how cute are these stamps?! I decided to use the adorable snowman and the whimsical ornament stamps- aren’t they perfect for a cover?

I’m planning on buying some more of these post-it notes…since I’m going to be making a lot of gifts this year, I thought this would be a welcome addition!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hopefully these inspired you for your holiday projects. I can’t wait to see what everyone else came up with for this Blog Hop!
