Fall Shaker Greetings

Hello crafty friends, it’s June! Today I’m sharing this shaker card I made using only products from the new fall release. Yes you read that right, all products I used are new! That doesn’t happen very often for me because I keep returning to old favorites, but this release is packed with products that are right up my alley and this card definitely shows that.

I started off by making a shaker using the new Fall Word Shaker, cutting the frame piece from light orange cardstock and the back panel from a darker shade to add some contrast. I filled the shaker with the Blush Harvest Shaker Beads, which inspired my entire color palette. I added some white gel pen highlights on the shaker element aswel as all the other die cut pieces I’ll be adding, like the acorns from the Fall Holder Additions. I love this set so much with all its tiny fall dies! 

I cut one of the Pinking Circles from white cardstock and masked off the border using post-it note tape so I could ink blend on just the inner circle. I used Distress Oxides in the colors Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold and Saltwater Taffy for the blend, and splattered inks in a shade darker on top, which were Wild Honey, Spiced Marmelade and Worn Lipstick.

I cut 2 of the Wide Leaf Shaker from yellow cardstock and used that same Wild Honey ink to darken up some parts. I added them in the corners underneath the circle layer, going off the card base. Speaking of the card base, I cut a panel from white cardstock and blended my own background using my absolute favorite of the new stencils! I used Tea Dye Distress Oxide and went in with a very light hand to add some color to the panel first, before using the Windowpane Plaid stencils to create a tone-on-tone print. 

As a finishing touch, I added some of the Upright Greetings: Fall to the other 2 corners to fill the empty space and turn the shaker into an actual sentiment saying ‘Happy Fall Greetings’. And that finishes my card!
