Spring Chick Scene

Hi friends, it’s Debbie here. The new Easter/Spring release is now in the Pretty Pink Posh shop and I’m loving it! I think I say it with every release how much fun I’m having with the whole release! There are more new adorable shaker dies, holders dies, flower dies, stencils, stamps and much more! Definitely something for everyone!

Today, I’ll be showcasing a bunch of the new dies and stencils from the release. I just couldn’t help myself with building this scene adding more and more die-cut pieces!

I started off with the Chick Shaker die, die-cutting out the frame with both dies together with a yellow card stock and white (4X) plus one acetate for the window. Adhering it all together to make the well for the Pastel Dreams Beads. Backing it with a little lighter yellow card stock, flipped it over since it was sealed. Next, I added the eyes with Onyx Pearls and the beak putting glossy accents to the beak and set it to the side. In the die set there is the cutest cracked egg, I die-cut it out of a blue like a robin’s egg and inked up the edges.

I should mention this is a 5×7 panel, then with the Watercolor Circle Stencil I placed the Watercolor circle center of the panel applying a blue ink with it. Next, with the mask from the stencil I placed it over the blue watercolor circle  over laying the Raindrops Stencil inking it up with a blue ink.

Now I die-cut out two of the daffodils from Daffodil Shaker DiesI chose not to make them a shaker but I did add some of the Creamsicle Pearls to the center of the flowers.

To fill up my scene more with small flowers, I used the new Stitched Spring Flower Dies, LOVE these new dies! With the previously released Grass Border DieI had some green grass to be able to tuck my flowers into.

Making sure I had room for my sentiment, I die-cut out the Large Spring Shadow die several times to stack up and have it level with the chick. Then with the Sentiment Strips: Fall stamp I masked off the fall and stamped and white heat embossed the “Greetings” and die-cut it out with the Sentiment Strips Dies.

As I start to lay it all out for my design, I wanted some of the little adorable eggs from the Springtime Holder Addition Dies.

I attached the chick, daffodils, and the egg shell directly to the panel, popping up some of the small flowers with foam squares. Then I started to tuck in the small eggs in the grass and the egg shell. Just like an Easter Egg Hunt!

The final touch was to add some shimmer to the smaller flowers with a Nuvo shimmer pen.

Do you make many 5×7 cards? I love them to be able to have all that real estate for making a scene with adorable die cut pieces!

Thanks for taking the time to check out my card today!
