Sneak Peek: Summer Wreath
Hello, crafty friends! Leica here and today I am sharing a peek of the new Summer Wreath stamp set that releases on June 14th. This is a fun addition to the other previously-released wreath stamp sets: Winter, Spring, and Autumn.
I’ve been enjoying making circle cards lately and I thought this wreath was perfect for a shaped-card. I started by cutting a 4.5″ circle that I ink blended with Shaded Lilac and Milled Lavender distress oxide inks. I then cut a smaller size circle and inked the top portion with Squeezed Lemonade and the bottom with Peacock Feathers. Next, I added waves detail from the new Stitched Waves Die.
I stamped, colored, and cut the wreath with the coordinating die. I used Copic Sketch markers in B02/00, E47/44/43, N3/1/0. R24/22/20, Y13/11, YG23/21, and YR04/02/00/000. I then added highlights with a white gel pen. The sentiment is white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.
There is another new stamp set that goes well with the Summer Wreath called Summer Borders and it coordinates perfectly! I turned my card into an easel card just so I can use one of the images from that set. I thought it would be a nice surprise for the card recipient to see more summer goodies upon opening the card. I will share a tutorial on how to make the easel mechanism for this card soon.
Back to the card… I adhered the panels onto the card base and lastly, I added some sequins for some sparkle.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek.
That is so cute!! I love all of the little images, and how you colored them in a summery way. Adorable.
What an adorable idea… love that wreath and am looking forward to your video on how to turn it into an easel card! TFS
