Winter Greetings

Hi everyone, Merry Christmas Eve! It’s Lindsay here on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today with a winter themed card using the Penguin Pals Stamps and Coordinating Dies, Happy Snowman Stamps and Coordinating Dies, and Winter Wonderland Stamps.

For this card I started off with inking up a background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass. I then heat embossed the snowflake images from the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set onto the ink blended background, keeping in mind what would be showing through the window. I then die cut the front of the card using the Window Frames Dies and stamped a greeting from the Caroling Critters Stamp Set.

I then got to stamping my two images and copic coloring them, keeping with the blue color scheme. I used B00, B02, B04 for the blue coloring and BG11, BG13, and BG 18 for the teal coloring. I used C5, C7, and C8 for the penguin. I shaded the snowman with B00 and the penguin with C1 on the white areas.

I adhered the die cut window to the ink blended background with a tape adhesive, adhered the images using foam tape, and finished off the card with some Ivory Jewels.
