Yellow Anemones

Hello, Gemma here today to share a card featuring the beautiful Anemones stamp set.

I enjoy using colour palettes when making cards. Limiting yourself to a set of 3-4 colours is a fun challenge and I always love the results I get with this technique. My colours for this card are yellow, grey and pale blue, along with black for stamping.

I stamped out the images then coloured them with copic markers. I used the following colours: Y00, Y15, E55, N1, N3, and N5. I then die cut the images with the coordinating dies. Next I took a piece of white card, the same size as my card base, and used a Scallop Border Die to cut it down. I then stamped a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set.

On the card base, I added a light blend of tumbled glass distress oxide ink to the top. I then arranged my flowers and leaves along the edge of the scallop border, securing with tape. Before adding the panel to my card base, I rounded the bottom corners of both with a 1/2 inch corner chomper. I added lots of foam tape and adhered the panel to the card base.

For the finishing touch, I added some Sea Glass jewels to the center of the anemones, as well as around the sentiment and flowers. These add a bit of shine and dimension and really bring the card together.

I hope you enjoyed this card. There are lots of possibilities with these stamp sets!
