Merry & Bright Penguin Friends
Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Penguin-ing to look a lot like Christmas! Emily Mydlowski here with you today sharing a bright and cheerful holiday card using the A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E Penguin Friend Stamp Set with Holiday Word Scene Stamp and Coordinating Dies.

I started by stamping all the images with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink that I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The clear embossing powder prevents the ink from bleeding when using alcohol markers plus this extra step creates a nice crisp black outline for the images.

Once I had all my images stamped & embossed, I used an assortment of Copic markers and OLO markers to color the images. I used Cool Grays for the Penguins with bright primary pops of color in Blue, Red, and Green.
The Merry & Bright sentiment is SO much fun to color. I went with Candy Cane Red & Pink for “MERRY”, Christmas Tree Teal & Bright Green for “AND” with Snowman Blues for “BRIGHT”. All of the images were highlighted with white gel pen.

After die cutting all the pieces, I placed Merry & Bright in the center of a white cardstock panel with foam adhesive. Then I popped all the jolly Penguins into the sentiment for a festive Merry & Bright Word Scene. I added a candy cane and a few stamped snowflakes to complete the design.
Wishing you a Merry & Bright Holiday Season! Thanks for stopping by, and Big Paper Hugs!
