Thankful Fall Basket

Hi friends, Debbie here! The weather is  changing to cold and crisp mornings and the leaves turning red I decide make an fall card with the Fall Basket die set.

I started off die cutting a bunch of the elements from the Fall Basket Die Set. Before I assembled each of them I did a little ink blending on the edges to give some depth. With the mushrooms I die cut them twice from the red and alabaster card stocks. Trimming out the circles on the alabaster and attaching to the red mushroom top.

As I was die cutting I arranged the elements on my glass mat. So I could see if I wanted more die cuts to fill out the scene. As I was getting close to what I wanted, I still needed a back ground panel. So with a standard A2 white panel on my grip mat and the Watercolor Oval Stencil and ink blended on a light blue ink.

With the Fall Harvest stamp setI stamped out the “Thankful” using a brown ink directly onto the panel.

Next, I slide the panel under the die cuts. Then with the Grass Border Die, I die cut it out with green card stock to place it over the Autumn scene.

With the panel taped to my glass mat and the arrangement of the die cuts on top. I took a piece of Saran Wrap, leaving enough to press on the mat and the rest to pick up the arrangement. I placed the Saran Wrap on the die cuts and slide my hand all over them to make sure they were pressed on to the Saran Wrap. Then I carefully folded it back towards the glass mat, adding liquid glue to the pieces closes to the panel. Carefully folded it back to the panel and waited a few minutes for the glue to hold the pieces on the panel. After I did this once there really wasn’t a lot more pieces. The Saran Wrap Technique is really a great one when you like  your arrangement.

On the grassy border, I added foam down on the panel along on the bottom edge in between some of the die cuts. Then I placed the grassy border down keeping it level with the other die cuts.

I hope you have a wonderful crafty day.
