Hello my spooky crafty friends! Justin here, and I am so excited to be sharing with you a concoction I whipped up in my craft studio using some amazing products Halloween products!
The Halloween Cake Pops Die Set has quickly become one of my all time favorite Halloween dies, and I just adored pairing them with the Happy Halloween Shadow Dies!

When it comes to Halloween crafting, you can NEVER go wrong with a solid Orange, Purple & Green Color palette! I played around with various colored cardstocks from my stash, and decided I wanted to use all 3 colors for my layered card layout.

I did double die-cutting duty with my orange layer, as I first die cut my orange cardstock using the largest die in the Stitched Torn Rectangle Dies, and then I die cut it a second time using the Pierced Stars Plate Die. Even though a Plate die gives you a perfectly sized A2 panel, always remember you can use them for smaller die cuts as well! I thought this was a really fun way to use the Pierced Stars pattern!
For my cake pops, I decided to craft the Ghost and Frankenstein dies, my 2 favorite designs in the set. I added a little bit of ink blending to each die cut element to give it a little bit of shading. A fun tip to keep in mind is that if you are interested in distressing the edges of your die cuts, using colored cardstock is a great hack to save you some time ink blending. Taking the tip one step further, I recommend often picking out your distressing ink first, and then picking a cardstock from your stash that is slightly lighter in color. This will really help the distressed edges pop!

My sentiment was fairly straightforward, as I die cut white paper for the sentiment, and black paper for the shadow. I did end up using a thicker mixed media cardstock, which helped give the die cut a nice sturdiness.
I carefully layered each layer one on top of the other, as they decreased in size. I used liquid adhesive to adhere my cake pops, and then used foam tape to adhere my sentiment die cuts, so that they have a little extra pop.
Thank you so very much for stopping by, friends! Happy Crafting!
