Sweet Gingerbread Holder
Hello my gingerbread friends! Justin here, and today I am baking up some super sweet using new products from the September Release! I am using the brand new Gingerbread Holder Dies, paired with the Christmas Holder Additions Die Set! I will also be using the Layered Gingerbread Stencil Set to make a fun background as well!

To start my card, I die cut different elements for my Gingerbread Holder. Colored cardstock is going to be your best friend when you’re putting all of this together. I grabbed a brown cardstock from my stash for the body of my Gingerbread person, and white cardstock for my iced detail elements. I distressed the edges of my Gingerbread holder with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and adhered my white icing details in place.
I die cut the ornament from the Christmas Holder Additions Die Set from a light blue cardstock, and the ornament topper from gold cardstock. I blended the edges of my ornament with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, adhered my ornament topper in place, and then adhered my ornament to be nestled inside of the arms of my prepared Gingerbread Holder die cut.

For my sentiment, I grabbed the Gingerbread Friends stamp set, stamped the “Have a sweet Christmas” sentiment in Mermaid Lagoon Ink on light blue paper, and then die cut the sentiment with the Gingerbread Friends coordinating die set.
To work on my background, I took a piece of light pink paper, trimmed down to 4.125” x 5.375”. I distressed the edges with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink. Then, taking the first stencil from the Layered Gingerbread Stencil Set, I placed it over my panel and began ink blending. I decided to use Distress Oxide Inks, as I felt they would blend the nicest over a colored cardstock. Wherever the Gingerbread openings were, I blended Brushed Corduroy and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks. For the Candy Canes, I blended Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide Ink.
For my 2nd stencil layer, I applied a bit of Pixie Spray on the backside of the stencil, and then placed it over my panel. I used Transfer Gel Blanco over the stencil. I removed my stencil, set my panel aside to dry, and then washed off my stencil immediately.

Once my stencil was dry, I processed it through my Minc foiling machine with white flock transfer sheets.
I took my panel, and applied my Gingerbread Holder image and sentiment with foam tape. I also used the peppermint wheels from the Holiday Gingerbread Clay Confetti and adhered them as embellishments. I adhered my entire panel to an A2-size panel.
Thank you so very much for stopping by the Pretty Pink Posh blog today! I hope this festive card provides you with some holiday-filled inspiration for what you can make with with the September Release!
Happy Crafting!
Justin
