Colorful Birthday Cake Pops
Hi, friends! Christina here, and I have a bright and happy birthday card to share with you today. This card has a rainbow of sweet cake pops, sprinkled with the cutest confetti, and is perfect for celebrating a summer birthday. Let’s get started!

I started by creating the stenciled text background on a white A2 cardstock panel. I used the Birthday Words stencil and a rainbow of Distress Ink colors. I chose Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, and Faded Jeans. I started in the upper left corner and blended the colors in rainbow order, working diagonally across the panel. So fun and so beautiful!

Next, I die cut a Wonky Stitched Rectangle from the center of the stenciled panel and attached both the positive and the negative pieces to another cardstock panel, popping up the center rectangle with foam tape. This is an easy way to add a frame to your design without actually adding a frame. Plus, it adds some dimension and interest! Then I added a sweet Doily Border to the top and bottom of the panel before adhering everything to a card base.
Time to move on to building the Birthday Cake Pops! I chose colored cardstock in coordinating rainbow colors and added white bows to each one. To decorate the cake pops, I used a variety of PPP clay confetti. Changing up the clay confetti would be an easy way to customize your cake pops to the recipient of your sweet card!

For the pink cake pop, I used the Strawberry Valentine Mix and the Rainbow Bright Mix. For the yellow pop, I used the Lemon Lime Mix and the Lucky Charms Mix. For the green pop, I used the Spring Flowers Mix and the Enchanted Garden Mix. And lastly, for the blue pop, I used the Americana mix and the Lucky Charms mix.
I finished up my card design with a heat-embossed sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Birthday stamp set that I framed up with a scallop Sentiment Strip Die.
