Halloween Treat Bags

Hi friends! It’s Sophie Ems here on the blog today sharing a fun idea for Halloween treat gift packaging featuring new products from the Halloween release! Let’s dive in!

I thought it would be fun to create decorative gift tags using the new Bat Shaker die set and the Candy Corn die set. Let’s start with how I created the bat tag!

I used black cardstock to die cut the bat outline first. Then, I die cut the frame 8 times with black cardstock. I like using layers of cardstock instead of foam tape to create the shaker well because it creates a seamless look from the sides. I cut the bat outline layer out of acetate and then placed one more frame piece on top to create the shaker. I filled the shaker with a good scoop of the new Classic Halloween Shaker Beads. I LOVE these bead collections from Pretty Pink Posh! They are always the perfect shaker fill – they move around a ton and give a fun sound.

I used some ribbon and yarn from my stash to tie the shaker on to the bag. For the banners I just cut a few banners from glitter cardstock, orange cardstock, and yellow cardstock and stacked them up to create some movement. I attached them together and to the ribbon with a tiny attacher stapler.

I really love the new Upright Greetings: Halloween stamp set. It is so unique and different than anything else I have in my stash! These upright greets are perfect for tags in my opinion. I heat embossed this one onto orange cardstock using white embossing powder.

To create the Candy Corn shaker card I used much of the same process regarding the ribbon and sentiment banners but changed up the sentiment. This is not a shaker tag but you could easily turn it into one with this die set! I love how versatile it is in that you can create many different looks with just one set since there is a frame piece included too.

I hope you enjoyed these products! It is always fun for me to stretch my supplies to create gift packaging too. I love to give my friends and family little holiday surprises and I think they will enjoy some candy or another treat in these goodie bags this year.

I cannot thank Pretty Pink Posh enough for inviting me to guest design this month. I have had so much fun creating spooky cute projects! I hope you are feeling inspired to create and have a wonderful day!
