I Like The Way You Roll

Hi friends, this is Debbie up on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today. Showing you how I made this super fun card with the new Construction Additions stamp and coordinating diesIn 2022 Pretty Pink Posh came out with a fun release with Construction Trucks stamp set,  so here is a great addition for your collection.

Starting off to making my background, at the time I didn’t have the Layered Roads Stencil. With that being said I created some Safety cones, using the Layered Party Hats Stencils.

1. Masking off the top of Layer A with low tack tape. Ink blended on Lawn Fawn Fake Tan and Pumpkin Spice.

2. Created the base of the safety cone by taking the die from Spring Mug Additions, it looks like the top layer of the honey dipper. Using the die to cut into acetate, with partial die cutting. The opening is only 13/16th inch long. Place the acetate base on the cone bottom, mask off if need be and ink blend on with black ink.

3. Take Party Hats layer B place over the blended cones, you will have to slide around the stencil  to position correctly over the ones that would have been dots. Mask off the top and sides of the cone to ink blend on White Pigment ink making the stripes.

4. In your Misti, stamp out the Cement Truck, Concrete Roller, and the accessories onto X-Press It Smooth White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

5. Die cut out with Construction Additions coordinating dies.

6. Trim a piece of Concord & 9th Dove cardstock to measure 1 1/2 X 6 inches

7. Die cut out with the thinnest die from Simple Strips Die set, one from MFT-Lemon Drop and two from White cardstock.

8. Attach the white strips on the edges of the gray cardstock strip, yellow in the center using liquid glue. You have now made a road for your vehicles.

9. Adhere the road to the Safety Cone panel at a slight angle with liquid glue. Trim off the edges that hang over the panel.

10. Cut the panel down to measure 4 1/8 X 5 3/8 inches horizontal. Mat the panel with black cardstock measuring 4.25 X 5.5 inches.

11. I like to place my panel into the Misti with the images about the areas I want. So I can stamp out my sentiment from the Construction Additions stamp set with black ink. Making perfect placement!

12. Add 3D foam squares to the back of the colored images and attach to the panel. Attach then the panel to a standard A2 card base.

13. Add highlights with a Gelly Roll white #08 pen.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post! Have a wonderful day!

Debbie
