Berries & Butterflies
Hello everyone, it’s June here! Today I’m sharing a card featuring some old and some newer spring products.
If you know me, you know I love my strawberry themed cards. So I was beyond excited to revisit one of my favorite stamp sets after using so many of the newer products lately.
I stamped the strawberries and the box from Fresh Berries in black ink, and used a brown ink for the leaves and the bow. I love combining inks to get a softer look on some images. I colored them in using my Copic Markers.
I hadn’t used the Butterfly Cover Plate Die from the newest release yet even though it was one of the products I was most excited for, so I thought now was the time to finally put it to its use. Butterflies and strawberries might not make perfect sense, but I think it works! I cut it out of some pastel pink cardstock because I didn’t think it needed a fancy ink blended background this time. To add some more detail however, I cut out a circle from the Eyelet Circle Dies to back my scene onto.
I turned my butterfly panel into a shaker, of course, and I added a mix of different shaker bits to bring back the red and green of the strawberries. I used the Valentine Hearts Clay Confetti and some white and green pieces from the St. Patrick’s Day Clay Confetti.
To finish off my card, I stamped the ‘thank you’ and ‘berry much’ sentiments from the Fresh Berries set onto some brown cardstock and embossed them using white powder. I cut out the scripted sentiment using its matching die and cut the rest of the sentiment into a strip.
I adhered my berries and sentiment onto my card using foam tape for some added dimension and tadaa, the card is done!
I hope to see you again later this month with a new card, happy crafting!
wow is that so unique, making the butterfly panel into a shaker!
Such a sweet card 😍 thank you for sharing!
