Decorative Birdhouse
Hello everyone! It’s Leica here. Today I want to share with you a card I made using the Decorative Birdhouses Dies and the Stitched Birds Dies to create a lovely square-shaped card.
To start, I made a 4.5 inch square card base in white cardstock and ink blended the front with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. I used a heavy hand on the bottom area and brushed the top area with a lighter hand to create a nice ombre effect. Then, I cut a white cardstock into a 4 inch square and ink blended it with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. I splattered some white ink on the card panel and card base for added texture.
Next, I cut the birds, birdhouse, and florals in various color cardstock using the Decorative Birdhouses and Stitched Birds dies. I love how easy it was to cut and layer these elements to create a beautiful scene on my card panel. I added a piece of baker’s twine on the birdhouse for an extra touch of cuteness.
To finish off the card, I white heat embossed the sentiment “Missing You” on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it on the card. I think the sentiment adds a perfect finishing touch to the card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today and feel inspired to try out these dies. Thank you for stopping by the blog and happy crafting!
How sweet and pretty!! Love your little pastel birdhouse!!
