Bright Birthday
Hi there! It’s Leica here and today I’m sharing a fun birthday card with a small shaker element in the middle. This came together fast and easy, and I love the way it turned out.
For the card panel, I cut a white cardstock to A2 size and ink blended through the Streamers Stencils in Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks. I then splattered the panel with pink, teal acrylic paints and white ink for added interest.
Next, I cut the large element from the Birthday Sentiment coordinating dies in white cardstock and ink blended it with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and glued some gifts. I then turned this piece into a shaker, using vellum for the back to soften the background. I tied a black and white twine and glued this piece onto the card panel. Lastly, I glued it onto an A2 size card base.
That’s all for this card. Happy crafting!
This is a wonderful card. I like the pastel background with the bright colors bringing your eyes directly to the focal point. I especially like the ‘circle’ having a little ‘ornament’ topper. I can see this used for so many occasions and to just say Hi/Hello. The shaker bits add such a fun element too. Thank you for sharing.
