Day 1: March Blog Hop

Hi, friends, it’s Lindsey here today. The new Easter Mug Additions dress up the Winter Mugs in the cutest ways, but today I wanted to share another fun way to use them. They pair perfectly with the previously released Easter Basket Dies and make the most darling Easter basket tags! 

I started by creating a little chick Easter Basket using the Easter Mug Addition dies. As I have been creating with these dies I have realized that a single tiny die has a lot of creative possibilities. For example, I used the same die for both the feet and the wings. Adding a little dimensional foam to the wings and feet really brings the basket to life. 

Once my chick was finished I set out filling my basket. I added a layer of grass using the Nature Essentials dies and a darker scalloped layer using a die in the Easter Basket die set. Then I die cut and added glitter glue to the eggs from the Easter Mug Additions. I topped the basket off with a layered bow that I created by combining the bow in the Easter Mug Additions with a slightly larger bow with tails from the Build a Gift Dies.  

Now on to the bunny basket!  All of the pieces I used to create the bunny are from the Easter Mug Additions except I hand cut the whiskers.  I decided to keep the bow a little simpler on this one, so I just added a single marshmallow pearl to a bow from the Build a Gift Dies.  

This time I filled my basket with carrots. I thought a little variety would be fun, so some of the carrots have single leaves, some have doubled leaves, and some have larger greenery that I cut using the Spring Foliage dies.

I have to say that these basket tags make me smile again and again. I hope they make you smile, too! I can’t wait to use them for Easter!
