Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Hi, friends! I’m Lauren and so excited to be joining the Pretty Pink Posh design team and just in time for the wonderful new release. Valentine’s Day always makes me think of flowers and chocolates so I wanted to create a card that really embodied this sweet holiday!

**All items in the Valentine section are 15% off during theme week**

Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

I started with die cutting all my different elements from the Winter Mug and Valentine Mug Addition Die Sets – this is a great way to use up any colored cardstock scraps you have been holding on to. My linked hearts are die cut out of the pink mug and I paper pieced the gold and inside pieces so it would be one layer.

The background was made using the Layered Chocolates Stencils with Distress Inks in Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso. Before the final stenciled layer, I used my largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to cut my cardstock. The sprinkles were added with some glittery pink stencil paste!

I needed some chocolates to go with my mug so I stamped them out from the XOXO Stamp Set with alcohol marker friendly black ink and white paper, colored them with Ohuhu Art Markers and cut them out with their Coordinating Dies. I also stamped two roses to add more details to my Valentine Mug!

Once my background and mug assembling was dry and done, I layered the stenciled background onto some cranberry red cardstock and assembled my flowers, mug and chocolates together. My mug, milk chocolate and dark chocolate candies were adhered using foam adhesive to give some dimension to the card!

The final touch was to add my sentiment “Sweetest Wishes” from the XOXO stamp set. I heat embossed it on the same cranberry red cardstock with gold embossing powder to tie in with the linked hearts on the mug.

I hope this sugar filled card brings you inspiration today for Valentine Theme Week and you have the sweetest holiday, too!
