Hello friends! Mindy Eggen here to share a fun monochromatic birthday card with you using the Layered Cupcakes Stencil.

This stencil is great for creating a rainbow of colors but I thought doing more cool tones with a monochromatic look would lean this more towards a card for the guys. Guys love cupcakes too!

I had started off my card by ink blending one of my favorite distress oxide combinations that I hadn’t used in a while and that is Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch.

I’ll use two of these colors, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers, to apply ink onto the background using the layered stencils. You can go a little heavier handed with the ink here to make it stand out a bit more.
After cleaning off the last layer of the stencil, I’ll reposition it back onto the card front and add some glitter glaze.

Since my background is pretty colorful, I’m going to keep the sentiment and images pretty simple. I’m using the Build A Cupcake stamp set and coordinating die. I’ll be doing very minimal copic coloring on the cupcake.
What a fun and colorful birthday card right?!
Thanks for stopping by!
