Gingham Valentine Wreath
Hi, crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a square-shaped card using the new Valentine Wreath stamp set and its coordinating dies. I just love this set and it’s a great addition to the other previously released wreath sets.
To start, I cut a 4.5″ square panel in white cardstock. I ink blended it with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink then made a gingham pattern by inking Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink through the Wide Stripes Stencil, both horizontally and vertically. To mute the background a bit, I cut a 4.5″ square in vellum.
I then stamped the Valentine wreath on white cardstock, colored with Copic sketch markers, and cut the wreath with the coordinating die. I foam mounted the wreath onto the vellum. For the sentiment, I heat embossed “love you” in gold onto black cardstock and cut with the coordinating die. I foam mounted the sentiment on the vellum, in the center of the wreath. To adhere the vellum onto the card panel, I turned it over and added the liquid glue behind the wreath. Next, I adhered the panel onto a card base – 4.5″ x 9″ scored and folded at 4.5″. Lastly, I added Pink Blush Pearls around the wreath for added interest.
I hope that you like this love card using the new Valentine Wreath stamp set. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy crafting!
This is beautiful!
This card is adorable. I am excited about this new release!

Leica,
So cute! I’ve also used that stencil to create a gingham checked background too but never even thought to lay vellum over it to soften the ink colors. So smart!!! The wreath is adorable and I just love this card.
