You Are Special Fuchsias

Hello friends! It’s Ashley with a pretty floral card using the Flourishing Fuchsias stamps and coordinating dies along with the Flourishing Fuchsias stencil! I am so in love with these stamp/die/stencil combinations from Pretty Pink Posh! They make the beautiful PPP florals even more versatile!

Pretty Pink Posh: You Are Special Fuchsias

For this card, I started by using a stitched rectangle die on white cardstock for a piece that is slightly smaller than the card front. I used Pinkfresh Studio Ballet Slipper ink and a blending brush to create some light pink shading along the edges, fading into white at the center. After adding some Pixie Spray to the back of my Flourishing Fuchsias stencil, I used it to make some flowers hanging in from the outside top edges of the piece. I used Pinkfresh Studio inks in Sparkling Rose and Bubblegum to go with the pink background and give the feeling that they were in the distance. Make sure to use some masking paper to cover the flowers you aren’t stenciling!

I stamped several of the fuchsias and leaves from Flourishing Fuchsias in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. I added a few details with a white Gelly Roll pen, then used the coordinating Flourishing Fuchsias dies to cut everything out. I layered my stamped and colored fuchsias on top of the stenciled ones, popping a few up with foam tape for dimension and trimming off the overhang.

Once I had all my flowers finished, I added the piece to a light grey card base made from Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock. I stamped the “you are special” sentiment from the Flower Bouquets stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink. This might be one of my new favorite sentiment stamps! I finished up the card with a scattering of Pink Blush jewels for some sparkle.

  1. Ashley this is just gorgeous! I love how you took a fun stamp and incorporated it into an elegant card. I find this type of “crossover” especially challenging. Everything about this card is just perfect!
