Pretty Pink Posh: Easter Theme Week- Day 4

My favorite cards to make usually feature a scene. Whenever I receive a new stamp set I always stamp, color and cut each image 8-10 times.  Accent images that I know I will use A LOT of – like the flowers in this set I stamp even more times.  I switch up the colors so I have lots to choose from.

This card starts with a Distress Oxide inked background in Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron. I added Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn along the edges to create some depth before splatting the panel with water and white ink.

Now for the fun part.. making a scene!  I arrange the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base – this allows me to move things around before I commit and adhere the images in place. I can also lift the entire piece and lay it on top of different color inky backgrounds to help me choose the perfect one.

I stamped a sentiment directly on the inked panel, and added a Spooky Fence cut from white card stock  to help define the grass from the sky.    Finally I adhered the Easter Bunnies stamp set images. Some are adhered flat to the card base while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape.  This adds more dimension. The little butterflies are from the Mom stamp set
