Valentine Penguins

Hello friends, Elaine here today and I am sharing a Valentine’s inspired card using the new All My Love and older Penguin Pals stamp sets to create a super cute card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Penguins

I started by stamping out my images on to copic friendly card stock and coloured all the images with some of my favourite pink and red colour combinations:

·         Reds – R59, R39, R46

·         Pink – R85, R83, R81

·         Grey – W3, W1, W00

·         Colourless blender

I cut the penguins out with the coordinating dies.

For the front of the card, I took a pale pink piece of card stock used Layered Hearts stencil with Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick to blend on some soft layered hearts.  I cut the ink blended panel down to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8”.  To cut out the heart shape in the middle of the panel I used the All My Love coordinating die.  The heart image was placed behind the window and secured with some liquid adhesive and a little washi tape for extra security.  I secured the whole panel to a white A2 side folding card base with more liquid adhesive.

I applied some foam tape to the back of the penguins and the flower and secured them to the base of the heart.  I white heat embossed the You’re My Favorite sentiment from the All My Love stamp set on to some red card stock and trimmed into a thin strip, adhering directly to the card with liquid adhesive.  To add some extra interest to the card I die cut some hearts from white cardstock using the strip of hearts die in the Heart Vines cover plate die and applied them to the card popping some glossy accents on top.  Some of the new clay hearts would also be perfect for some cute dimensional embellishment!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope this card gives you some Valentine’s inspiration!
