5 Days of Christmas Giveaways- Day 2

Hello, Gemma here to share some Christmas inspiration. I love combining new and older release sets from Pretty Pink Posh to create scenes. The Bear Friends are getting ready for Christmas on my card today.

I stamped and copic coloured images from Bear Friends and Holiday Signs. To dress up the bears for my winter scene, I added scarves and hats from the Penguin Pals and Reindeer Friends stamp sets. The presents are also from Reindeer Friends.

On a white card panel, I masked an area for the hill and blended distress oxides above for a wintry sky. Flicking with water adds droplets for a snow effect.

From the centre of the panel, I used a Window Frame die. I adhered the die cut piece directly on my card base, then added the rest of the panel to the card with foam tape. This creates a nice focal point in the centre.

I stamped one of the sentiments from Holiday Signs on the post, then adhered the images to the card. I finished by adding some Pearl White jewels to the centre area for Christmas sparkle.

    Love those sweet little bears!! Love the details of the presents, snow and stitched semi circle. Love the bits of sparkle with the Pearl White jewels.

  34. Sweet, adorable card. Your background is gorgeous. My favorite holiday stamp is an older, well-loved poinsettia layering stamp. It has a matching die and I love to use bright colors and and different layouts with it. Someday I plan to replace it, but for now it’s my “go-to” for Christmas cards.

  54. I love the ink blended sky you created. The snow effect with sequins looks like faux snow on a card. Very beautiful. The bears look adorable with the Christmas hats. It is great to be able to mix and match stamp sets.

    My favorite die for Christmas is the stitched poinsettia die. There’s just something classic about poinsettias that brings lovely memories from years past!

  100. Picking just one favorite holiday stamp set is so hard! From you I think it would be the “Holiday Signs”. But my over all favorite would be Hello Bluebirds “Away in a Manger”. Today’s card is so adorable. Now I need to Bear Friends set.

  120. If I only had a few it would be easier to decide. I love them all but if I had to pick something it would be the layering poinsettia stamp & die set. I love the many ways you can stamp all the layers in coordinating colors to change it to fit the theme of the card.

  123. My favorite set is the PPP Angel Friends. It is so versatile. I use it for many encouragement cards.

  125. So hard for me to choose between Woodland Critters and Winter Woodland. So, I’ll say it sort of depends on the time of the year. LOL!
    At this time of the year, Winter Woodland and it takes me through Valentine’s Day although one of the sayings works year round. Love the little foxes. Then, for “non-chilly” months, I’d choose Woodland Critters (love the little hedgehogs) although it definitely can be used all year. Plus, since I have both sets, I can mix and match the criitters to match my needs. Love these sets!

  128. I love the Joy set and any of your critter sets. They are all so adorable. I also love florals, so anything with poinsettias for the holidays is a winner!

  129. I ‘ve used so many different stamp sets. I tend to shy away from “cutsie”, preferring classis. I think my favorite is a wreath that can be used in another season by using different colors or add-ons.

  137. I like the detailed ornament stamps and dies. I like to stamp and die cut them out of glitter paper. Makes an elegant card!

  138. I love the texture you created by diecutting your panels and laying them creating depth. Your colouring is so gorgeous. I am still really new to paper crafting and struggle with creating layers and combining stamp sets to create a scene. So thank you for the inspiration.
