Tutorial: Fall Card using Copic Markers

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I’m using the Fall Signs Stamp Set to create my fall themed card today. I also pulled in Trick or Treat Friends for some additional images since I thought they matched in well.

I started off with stamping out images on two pieces of cardstock. I stamped the crow and pumpkins from Trick or Treat Friends and then the scarecrow from Fall Signs onto some white cardstock for Copic colouring. I then took a piece of watercolour cardstock and stamped two scarecrows side by side. I stamped these exactly how I want them to sit, since I won’t be cutting them out. I then coloured them all in with Copic Markers and cut out the ones from the plain white cardstock. I also cut out two masks from masking paper for the background piece.

I set all my die cut images to the side and worked on the background. I applied the masks over the scarecrows and ink blended some grey Distress Inks over the background. I flicked on some water and dried it off with a heat tool. I removed the masks and then adhered on my other images to create my scene.

Distress Inks Used: Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot

Lastly, I stamped on the ‘Happy Fall’ sentiment into the sign that the scarecrow is holding. I then added white gel pen details to all my images and that finished off my card for today.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next time.

Eloise
