Watercolor Sunflowers
Hi all! Lindsay here on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today! I’m sharing a card using the new Sunflowers Stamp Set. I thought that the sunflowers were a perfect addition to PPP’s floral collection and a great one for fall cards!
I started with stamping a bunch of flowers from the Sunflowers Stamp Set all over a piece of smooth cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder. While that cooled, I cut masks for the different floral images, and with moving the masks around, I stamped the leaf images from the Sunflowers Stamp Set in the background which also were heat embossed.
Now that I had my full background filled with Sunflowers and Leaves, I got to coloring! I had just gotten the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers and it was my first time trying them out for a watercolor look. I colored the sunflowers with Autumn Blaze and Warm Sunshine, the leaves with Moss, and the background with Dusk. I finished off the panel with a splattering of white paint. I can’t seem to get through a card these days without some splatter!
When that was fully drying, I die cut the smaller frame from the Scallop Frame Dies in kraft cardstock and the Happy Thanksgiving Script Die from white cardstock. I then adhered those to a dried background panel and a card base and the card was finished!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired!

Just. So. Gorgeous!

This is beautiful! The sunflowers REALLY pop with the blue colored background… it’s a trick I keep forgetting to incorporate when I want the focal point to POP!
Thank you Lindsey
