Easter Theme Week- Day 4

Hello friends, Thi here! I’m so excited to share with you my card for Pretty Pink Posh’s Easter theme week. I had a lot of fun mixing two of my favorite Easter stamp sets, Easter Friends and the new Bunny Friends from the March release.

Let’s get to it! To start, I ink blended my background with Distress Ink in Abandon Coral and Antique Linen onto an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. I splashed some water and lifted it up to get those water droplets then I took more Abandon Coral and mixed it with some water and splattered the ink with a paintbrush. I left this to dry and moved on some coloring and die cutting.

I colored images from both stamp sets, particularly a lot of eggs from the Easter Friends stamp set. My plan was to make an Easter egg hunt scene. After I colored all my images, I started die cutting them all as well as other pieces I needed for my scene.

First, I die cut a white picket fence using the Picket Fence Die. I decided I need two pieces of grass to create a fun dimensional Easter egg lawn. I die cut a taller piece of grass out of green cardstock using a die from the Scallop Border 1 Dies. I then cut a shorter piece using the Stitched Borders 2 die. The idea was to create a lawn where eggs may be laying out during an Easter egg hunt!

Once the background that I created earlier was completely dry, I heat embossed the Happy Easter sentiment with white embossing powder.

Tip: Make sure it’s completely dry before doing this otherwise you will have embossing powder stuck everywhere!

Finally! My favorite part: assembly time. I glued my white picket fence on with Ranger Multi Media Matte glue. I then adhered the bigger green grass piece on top of it. I popped up the shorter grass piece with foam tape. Then I decided to put foam tape on my three little friends so they stood out in the scene. Then I took a tape runner and stuck eggs everywhere! The entire piece was adhered to an A2 card base.

I love this card and I hope you do too! Thanks for stopping by!
