Spaceship Chickie {VIDEO}

Oh my, a post on a Sunday? You know it’s a special occasion when that happens!

For today’s 10 Minute Craft Dash Birthday Bash creation, I’m sharing a boy card {something that is not my forte}. I pulled out a few DeNami stamps- the Spaceship, Space Chickie and Outer Space set– and went to town. There was one more element I wanted to add to this card, but it didn’t make it on there in time. What is it? You’ll have to watch the video below to see for yourself! *wink*

Time it took to create: 9 minutes 49 seconds

Being a girly girl crafter, I have all sorts of pinks, reds and purple craft supplies. Thankfully, this last year, I’ve been consciously making an effort to fill in the gaps of my “rainbow” of supplies. One of my favorite ways to incorporate colors outside my comfort zone? RIBBON! Chevron twill ribbon to be exact. I get mine from Little Free Radical and honestly, I’m obsessed with this stuff and have almost all of the colors available. If you haven’t tried it, it makes the most amazing bows ever!

You all have been so sweet and encouraging with your comments this week, especially on the videos! I have loved hearing from some of you that watching me create has inspired many of you to give my challenge a try and I won’t lie, seeing many new subscribers has been lovely, too!

I will be back tomorrow with a sweet treat…literally. It’s not often that I get in the kitchen, but I couldn’t have this birthday bash happen without a treat. Since I’m far from a pro in the kitchen, this is a super easy idea and oddly enough, it can be created within 10 minutes, too! Quick and simple and I’ve heard, it’s quite yummy…hope to see you tomorrow!

Fancy Favors Blog Hop

prettypinkposh_favors1Who is ready for some yummy treats and lots of inspiration? Today is the Fancy Favors Blog Hop over on the DeNami blog and I have a feeling there are going to be lots of pretty favor ideas! If you started the hop from the beginning, you should be coming from Tammy’s blog.

It’s no secret that I tend to have a hard time deciding on which stamps to feature for blog hops. So many choices to choose from! I decided I would go with something more bold and immediately thought of going the boy route. After all of the pastel and girly items I’ve been creating, this was a welcome break.

Just about every kiddo likes cookies, so I thought they would be the perfect item to stick inside the pillow boxes. The DeNami outer space stamps are adorable and I was so happy I got to pull them out again! A little masking, some coloring and a few sequin additions and I was able to whip these up quickly.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you were inspired!

Thanksgiving Pilgrim

Hello, sweet blog friends!

Is anyone else in denial that Thanksgiving is next week? I couldn’t believe my eyes when I looked at the calendar and came to this realization. Thank goodness for my handy blog calendar and phone for keeping me informed!

I have done a horrible job at posting Thanksgiving cards on this blog. For those who don’t know, I write over on the DeNami blog every weekday. Just about all of my creations end up there and my “extra” cards appear on this blog. With my health issues, I haven’t been up to crafting as much and sadly, my personal blog has suffered. Let’s hope things will start improving- I really want to post more crafty creations for you all. :)

Here is one of the Thanksgiving cards I created this year. I was so thrilled it turned out exactly how I envisioned. I saw this sky patterned paper {from Lime Twist Fly A Kite by My Minds Eye} and immediately wanted to create a scene.

It’s a little hard to tell from the picture, but I used one of my large scallop border punches to create the “waves”. After all, it wasn’t smooth sailing for the pilgrims in real life! You know….I had to be realistic with how my pilgrim chickie came across on the card. *wink*

I’ll be back here tomorrow with my Thankful Thursday post and a health update. I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday. We’re half-way to the weekend- we can make it!
