It’s A Good Day
What’s this? A new card? Yes, I finally got a bit of creativity (and time) and while I still feel rusty stamping, I’m glad I made something worthy of posting. *wink*
I hope you’re not tired of seeing sequin cards, because I’m not tired of making them. They are so fun to make and everyone I have given them to have loved them. For my shaker frame, I used the Photo Mats Die from Top Dog Dies, which made this shaker super easy to whip up. I plan on doing a new sequin shaker tutorial soon and I’ll be using this die- it comes with three polaroid sizes and they are so easy to use!
For this shaker, I used the Aquamarine, Pink Peonies, Lemon Drop and Sparkling Clear sequins. Curious how I came up with this color combination? I was actually inspired when I was packaging up a recent order for a customer! This color palette is so happy!
As I was assembling the card, the clouds looked a little bit lost. A little bit of faux stitching with a marker and voila! This not only made the clouds stand out, it also unified the card since I already had the other stitching on the focal point. My favorite markers to use for faux stitching are the Memento markers. They match the Memento ink pads (which I use when I color with Copics) and they have a fine tip perfect for faux stitching.
This weekend I was a busy little bee packaging up sequins and processing orders. I’m so happy that many of you were able to take advantage of the 10% savings coupon so far! If you’re new to sequins, or want to add some more to your collection, be sure to head over to the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. I was looking over the colors I have in the shop and I can’t believe I have so many already!
Have you created a sequin shaker? If so, leave a link to your posts so I can take a peek. Sequin shakers have a special place in my crafty heart and in the near future, I have something planned with them. Stay tuned!

I promised exciting news and I get to reveal it now. My friends at Sweet Stamp Shop just released their newest stamp sets and their team is featuring lots of Pretty Pink Posh products! Exciting, right? This is my first collaboration with a stamp company since opening my shop and I am so thrilled with this opportunity. To make the deal even sweeter, I donated some products for a giveaway that they’re hosting on their blog.

If you want to see how I created this card, I filmed a video! It’s a little longer than my normal videos, but I wanted to share exactly what the Top Dog Dies look like, along with the process of the card.

Since this card was going to be really simple, I added in some sequins to make a quick shaker card. This is the perfect way to dress up a card and make it feel more special. For this particular shaker, I used the
