August Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1
Hello, Gemma here today to share a card using a mix of the fabulous new August release and some previously released Pretty Pink Posh products. I love to mix sets to make a scene for my cards.
I began with the copic colouring. I stamped images from the new Sunflowers and Fall Signs, along with some pumpkins from the previously released Pumpkin Patch Critters.
I chose the following copic colours for my sunflowers, mixing a bit of the E50 shades into the petals: Y11, Y15, Y17, E53, E55 and E57. I stamped a greeting on the scarecrow’s sign, using a sentiment from the Fall Signs stamp set, then used the coordinating dies to cut out all the images.
Next, I worked on the background. I cut a piece of orange patterned paper to adhere to my card base. I then die cut the previously released Lattice Background from white card and adhered with liquid glue over the top. I love cover backgrounds for adding interest to a card.
I arranged my images on my card base and, once happy with the placement, I used liquid glue to adhere the sunflowers and leaves. I used foam squares to add the scarecrow over the top, then adhered the pumpkins at his feet. I just love the pumpkin with the little mouse peeking out!
For some finishing touches, I added my usual white and black gel pen details. I then used the beautiful Espresso jewels to add some sparkle to the centre of the sunflowers. The Espresso jewels are a must have for fall cards as they tone in so well with those beautful autumnal colours.
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. We are giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before August 28, 2019 at 11:59 PM PST. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
