Reindeer Stocking Card
Hi crafty people! It’s Rachel here today with an adorable reindeer and stocking shaker card. I mixed and matched new and old products together to make this card. It is definitely one of my favorite ways to create.

I started by laying out the dies on a standard card base of 5 ½ x 4 ¼ inches. When I laid down the stocking from the new Stocking Gift Holder Die, I soon realized I needed a bigger card base for my idea. My idea was a pastel-colored Christmas card. So I cut a minty-colored cardstock into 5 x6 1/2 inches.
Then started playing with the dies on top of that again. And then it hit me, how cute would the new Reindeer Face Shaker be on top of the stocking?!
The card did still feel a bit too empty to me. So I pulled in an old-time favorite of mine, the Winter Foliage Die. I pulled in this die so often during this release. Greenery is such a great way to fill up your card.

Because my card was full with all the dies, I decided to go for a subtle background. I grabbed the Winter Words Stencil and a white pigment ink and started inking it onto the minty-colored background. This was exactly the subtle interest it needed.
Then it was die-cutting time. I kept within the pastel colors and decided to add some pink and green for my greenery. Grabbed my inks and used a darker color of ink on my die cuts using a small blending brush. I love to add some shading to my die cuts.
Time to assemble my stocking and reindeer face. For my Reindeer Face Shaker die I decided to make it a shaker and filled it up with the new Mistletoe Kisses Shaker Beads. This mix worked so well with my pastel colors.

After using liquid glue and foam to attach everything to my card base. I thought it would be fun to add the Stocking Gift Card Holder to the inside of my card. I die-cut another stocking, shaded it with pink pink, and cut out a piece of the “rounded stitched rectangles” to act as a gift card. And used the free gift with purchase Christmas Cookies set to give it some details.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. I hope you like this Christmas stocking shaker card and get inspired to make your own. Mix and match your products to decorate them.
