Hey friends, it’s Justin from @justanotebyjustin! Halloween Theme Week is here, and I’m excited to share a fun and festive Halloween card featuring a trio of stacked jack-o’-lanterns! This design combines the Stitched Pumpkins Dies with the Halloween Treat Buckets set and the Spooky Trees Background Stencil to create a colorful Halloween scene with lots of dimension and sparkle.

Creating the Stacked Pumpkins

I started by die cutting three pumpkins from Carrot Cardstock using the Stitched Pumpkin Dies. To give each pumpkin more depth, I blended the edges with Roar! Stellar Ink. I also used Slippery When Wet Stellar Ink to add color to the jack-o’-lantern faces and Overzealous Stellar Ink for the Leaf & Vines die cuts.

Rather than arranging the pumpkins in a traditional centered design, I stacked them from largest to smallest and offset the stack to the left-side of the card. This creates a playful focal point while keeping the card design feeling a little more unexpected.

I adhered the pumpkins with foam tape to give the stack plenty of dimension.

Creating a Spooky Background

For the background, I started with Lavender Cardstock and blended Crown Me Stellar Ink over the panel. I then layered the Spooky Trees Background Stencil on top and blended Shady Stellar Ink through the stencil to create the dark, spooky trees.

To add a little Halloween sparkle, I finished the background with splatters of Pearl Shimmer. I love how the shimmer catches the light against the deep purple background!

For the sentiment, I used the Halloween Treat Buckets Stamp Set and heat embossed “Trick or Treat” in white embossing powder onto Raven Cardstock. I used the Halloween Treat Bucket Coordinating Dies to cut out the sentiment before popping it up with foam tape.

A few sparkly embellishments finished off the card and added just the right amount of extra Halloween magic.

From Halloween stamps and dies to stencils and more, there are plenty of spooky favorites to help bring your Halloween card ideas to life. I hope this colorful stack of jack-o’-lanterns inspires you to have a little fun with your Halloween designs! Happy crafting!
