Hello, Crafty Friends! Catherine here, and today I’m excited to be sharing a pair of spooky-sweet Halloween Caramel Apple cards featuring products from the latest Pretty Pink Posh release! I used the Halloween Caramel Apples, Pinking Ovals, Boo Greetings, Halloween SilhouettesBackground Stencil, and Rounded Stitched Rectangles to create these fun Halloween designs. The Halloween Caramel Apples die set is such a creative addition to this release, with lots of fun pieces that let you customize each caramel apple with your own festive details.

I began by creating the backgrounds with the Halloween Silhouettes Background Stencil, lightly ink blending Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink over white cardstock for a soft, subtle look. After the ink dried, I die cut each panel using the second-largest die from the Rounded Stitched Rectangles set.

Next, I die cut two of the largest Pinking Ovals from gold-speckled cardstock and two of the second-largest ovals from white cardstock. I layered the white ovals onto the gold ones before adhering them to the card fronts.

For the caramel apples, I die cut the apple bases from white cardstock and ink blended them with Festive Berries and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Inks to add depth and dimension. One apple was decorated with the spider web die, while the other featured the adorable ghost face. I die cut the ghost face from white cardstock and ink blended the eyes and mouth with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. The spiders and bats were also ink blended with Black Soot for added contrast.

To create the pink icing on the spider web apple, I used the icing die and blended it with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. After adding the colorful sprinkles, I applied Glossy Accents over the icing to give it a shiny, realistic finish and set it aside to dry.

The sprinkles were die cut from white cardstock and ink blended with Wilted Violet, Black Soot, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Spun Sugar, and Festive Berries Distress Oxide Inks for a bright pop of Halloween color.

For the finishing touches, I die cut layered bows from pink cardstock and polka dot patterned paper. The apple sticks were ink blended with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and lightly shaded around the edges with Gathered Twigs for a more realistic woodgrain effect.

Once the Glossy Accents had completely dried, I wrapped each caramel apple in cellophane and tied them with the layered bows to give them the look of real caramel apples. I completed the cards with white heat-embossed sentiments on black cardstock and added a stamped “Boo” from the Boo Greetings stamp set to coordinate with the Halloween theme.

I love how these turned out—they’re such a fun and unique take on Halloween cards and wrapping the apples in cellophane adds the perfect finishing touch!
