Copics
I have another quick & easy card to share with you. (Seems like there have been a lot of these recently!) For this card I used my Spellbinders Labels Four dies to create the “tag” part of the card. I was aiming to have the beautiful shape come through, but I then opted to do a huge bow. You should have seen me go back and forth on this decision!
Speaking of decisions….right now I’m facing a huge one….should I take the plunge a buy Copics? LOL Bet you weren’t expecting that one! After seeing so many beautiful creations using them, I think I might be jumping on the bandwagon. I tried narrowing down the colors I really want but I still somehow ended up with 25. Yikes! I most likely will be getting them- unless someone can convince me otherwise!
I know this is a super short post but I gotta get ready for work. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Copics!
Have a great one! Thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: Delightful Dahlia, Polka Dot Basics, Signature Greetings, Background Basics: Tin Types, Dots Background
Paper: White, Brown Kraft, Ripe Avocado, Melon Berry
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Tea Dye Duo
Other: Spellbinders Label Four dies, Chocolate Brown satin ribbon, Delightful Dahlia dies
This is great, Paulina! I really like how you used the labels die to create a tag – how fun!
Re: Copics
I’d say try a few out and recommend buying them in threes (three markers within the same hue) so you can get a good feel for them before buying a lot of the colors. You stamp a lot of flowers, so I think you’ll like it for those stamps at least, if not more! :) Good luck!
Very pretty Paulina! I enjoy my copics. I’m taking an online class now that has been very helpful. Definitely buy in 2 or 3’s so you can blend.
This is gorgeous as always! Love that bow, it’s just perfect.
Copics…I just recently took the plunge as well. I do not usually gravitate towards images that need coloring, mainly because I am very picky and just didn’t like the results I’d gotten in the past using chalks and markers. But, once I tried the Copics, I quickly realized that with practice these will allow me to achieve the end result that I was looking for.
I also agree, buy them a little at a time and in groups of three. You do a lot of flowers so it will be worth it in the end. And…if you want to save money, shop around on the internet, you can find them cheaper. Write down the numbers of the colors you want and then order those colors from the site you find the best deal.
I love the big bow and don’t mind that it covers part of the tag. RE: Copics. Go ahead. It’s an investment. Even if you don’t use them all the time (I only occasionally use mine because I’m not a big stamp colorer), you WILL love them and they come in handy for making perfect match brads, buttons, ribbon and ooodles of other things!
i really like this card! love the tag, even though you can’t see all the curves :D
i think that you’d be great at Copic coloring, but i know it’s a huge investment… sounds like you’re getting good advice, though!
Now that is one gorgeous card and one AMAZING bow! It doesn’t matter if it covers the tag shape because it’s so beautiful and lush!
I daren’t get on the Copic bandwagon because I’ve played with ’em so I know I’d be bankrupt if I did LOL!
x
All I can say is that bow is FABULOUS! Great card as always!
Hi Paulina,
I would say take the plunge! You won’t be sorry that you did. I found a couple of places where I received very helpful info on trying to make my decision on which ones to buy. Here are the links: http://www.papertreyink.com/files/CopicChart_Version4.pdf

Happy Coloring :)
Your card is gorgeous, Paulina. Love the big bow. It’s beautiful.
This is such a sweet card! :)
I’m gonna jump on the bandwagon and say go for it! :) I love Copics, they’re by far my fav!
Love that bow! What a pretty card!
I love the big, scrumptious bow. And although it’s only been a few months with my Copics, I love them.
As a fan of bows, I LOVE this card!
Copics – go for it. You will enjoy them. Buy a few that you can blend and build from there. You won’t regret it!
Such a pretty card…lovin’ the ginormous bow:) LOL…I’m one of those peeps that jumps in feet first…I bought a ton of Copics on the first purchase…if you’re appehensive you can try out my copics so that you get a feel for them…
Good choice with the bow! I love it! I have yet to buy any copics either. My reason is that there are so many other things I am still trying to get caught up on – ribbon, buttons, ink… – that I really don’t want one more thing to add to my huge wish list. If you have all of those kinds of things though, then I say go for it! People certainly make some gorgeous things with them!
Love the big, beautiful, chocolate, satin-y bow. And, I’m no help with Copics. I own all of 4 of them and don’t know a thing what I’m doing. ;)
Beautiful card, and the bow is WOW WOW WOW!! As for Copics, I would pick a flower you like, and buy just a few colors in the same color family and try before you go crazy buying lots. I did that with the PTI Violets and so far I’m “liking” them, but not sure I’m “loving” them. There is definitely a learning curve!!
Just gorgeous!
I am trying to resist the Copic mania so I am not much help!
What a gorgeous card! Your ribbon is perfect! :)
Great flower! I love the background polka dots with the focal point!
Your card is very pretty. And your bow is perfect! I am also thinking about investing in Copics. So I am really listening to what your friends here are saying about your Copic question.
This is a beautiful card, so simple and effective. I don’t own Copics and can’t afford them, but don’t do much in the way of flowers either. From what I’ve seen on your blog-o here, especially as of late, I think you would do wonders with them and your large flowers! You’re very talented and am sure you won’t have much if any of a learning curve.
Beautiful card Paulina!! I made a Dahlia card last night but I’m not sure if I like it lol.
As for the Copics – I love mine, and if you’re prepared for the investment that it is (because let’s face it even if you start with just a few you will want more!) then go for it!! I have all the Ciaos and am slowly filling in the remaining colours in the Sketch! I love how they colour and they’re so useful for colouring rhinestones and ribbon etc for a perfect match!
Wow! Paulina ta carte est trop belle, c’est frais et vitaminé comme j’aime
Bravo
You’ll totally rock them. I only own like 6… but I do enjoy them when i do use them! Love this card!
Stunning card Paulina!!!
Wow! This card is awesome! Love that big brown bow! It seems like everyone is talking about copics nowaday. I don’t own any coz it’s super expensive here.
Paulina, I just bought 6 Copics. 3 in green and 3 in yellow! I would suggest getting a few to start (not 25, ha ha ha). I am SURE you will love them and will end up getting all of them anyway… But to start, try getting some in your favorite colors, PINK of course (3 hues as suggested) and run with it. I can’t wait to see what you create. I referred to this site (recommended by Kelly Marie). She has a great knowledge of copics and great recommended sets and hue groups for beginners! I went off of her color chart to choose the 6 I purchased. Hope this helps.
