Summer Theme Week: Day 2

Hi friends! Sophie here and today I am sharing a few fun cards featuring a mix of new and old products for Summer Theme Week.

My favorite thing to do is pull from new and old from my stash so that I feel like I am getting the most out of my products! Hope you enjoy the cards I’ve made to share, let’s dive in!

For all of my cards today I am featuring the Summer Fun stamps and dies. This first card mixes in a few things from the most recent June release including the Seashell Wreath as well as the Summer Words Stencil. Oh, and the sentiment is from the Beach Fun stamp set!

I started by stenciling my background with a pink ink on light pink card stock for some subtle interest. Then, I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers. I kept the coloring of the wreath to one marker per image to keep it simpler and I did more detailed shading on the cute little tiger.

For my second card I wanted to make a simple interactive card and the Shadow Box Dies are PERFECT for making something quick and easy but that also packs a punch. This card was actually probably the quickest to make out of all the ones I am sharing today. I used the Seashell Background Stencil for the background panel of the box to give it some fun summer flair. For the waves in the box I used the Shoreline Borders and cut those out of the top of the hillside borders that come with the Shadow Box die set. I thought I would keep the focus mainly on the lion and so I opted to use the thin “Summer” word die at the top of the box for my sentiment to pair with the lion’s sign.

For my last 2 cards I had some leftover colored images that I did not want to go to waste so I decided to create some simple bonus cards.

The first features the Scallops Pierced Cover Die, an Eyelet Rectangle, and a Sentiment Strip Die featuring a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Summer stamp set

The second card is super simple and features a simple ink blended rectangle that I used the Waves Edges stencil on to create some movement. The sentiment was stamped directly on the card and is also from the Sentiment Strips: Summer stamp set. I adorned both of these cards with some Sparkling Clear Star Sequins

I hope you feel inspired to create something. Wishing you a wonderful day!
