I’m sharing a fun shaker card featuring the Beach Fun Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies!! It doesn’t get better than a shaker, am I right?!?

I started by stamping the images in the Beach Fun Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added details and highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The Beach Day Shaker Beads inspired my color palette.

To create the background, I blended Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Ink onto the top of an A2 panel of smooth white cardstock. I tore another panel of white cardstock to create the “sand” layers and blended them with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks. They were splattered with diluted inks in the same colors, as well as diluted white bleed-proof ink. One of the dies from the Shoreline Borders Die Set was also cut from white cardstock to create the “water” at the bottom of the background. It was blended with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, splattered with the same diluted ink and white bleed-proof ink. All the layers were adhered to the background panel with liquid glue.

The rectangle die was cut from orange cardstock. I adhered acetate and added foam tape to the back of the rectangle, then added the Beach Day Shaker Beads to the opening. The background was then adhered to the back of the rectangle to create the shaker.

The sentiment, also from the Beach Fun Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die, then adhered to the front of the acetate with liquid glue to finish off the card.

That does it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Stay tuned for more summer inspiration coming your way this week!

  1. Brenda,
Your color scheme is amazing and so “tight” with regard to the colors of the beads / the colors of the papers or markers. You crushed it! GREAT card!
