Double Heart Shaker
Hi crafty friends! Sophie here and I am just thrilled to be sharing this fun shaker Valentine’s card with you today! This card features some of my most favorite products from this new release – let’s dive in!
To make the A2 card base I used a piece of super pale pink cardstock from my stash. For the panel on top I used the Eyelet Rectangles Die Set to cut a slightly darker piece of pink cardstock. I used the new Diamond Grid Stencil to add some interest to the panel, masking off the eyelet edges just at the stitching detail line to create the effect of more layers. I used pink ink and tried to blend in an ombre pattern where the bottom is darker and it fades out at the top.
For the shaker element I used the new Strawberry Valentine clay mix inside the Double Heart Shaker die. I love that this die can be used as a shaker, or not, whatever your preference is! It is perfectly sized to be the main focal point on an A2 card but I think it would work on just about any card size!
The greeting was heat embossed in white on red cardstock and comes from the new Valentine Greetings stamp set. I LOVE that this sentiment set has coordinating dies! I often prefer to cut out my sentiments and pop them up over other elements. Oh and did I mention how much I love the mix of block and scripty fonts on these greetings? Perfection!
I hope you found this project inspiring! I am SO thrilled to be joining the Pretty Pink Posh design team and hope to continue inspiring you! :)
Love the scalloped edges, the colors you used, the argyle stencil, and (OF COURSE) the shaker hearts. GREAT WORK! Wondering which pink ink you used on the stencil….
