Autumn Many Thanks
Hi crafty friends! It’s Christina, and I’m back to share a vibrant autumn-themed thank you card featuring many of the die sets in the Pretty Pink Posh fall shop. Follow along as I take you through the steps to create this card perfect for the fall season.
I started with creating the background panel for my card by die cutting the largest Stitched Torn Rectangle from light blue cardstock. Then I embossed the panel using the Deco Leaves Stencil. I love the subtle texture the embossing gives to the cardstock. To emboss using a stencil, I use the following sandwich in my die cutting machine:
1. bottom cutting plate
2. embossing mat
3. my die cut cardstock panel
4. the stencil
5. some shims
Every machine is different, so your sandwich may be different from mine.
Next, I distressed the background panel with brown Distress Ink and white gouache paint splatter before mounting it on an ivory cardstock panel with foam tape.
My next step was to die cut all the autumn-themed elements for my card. I chose pumpkins, sunflowers, mushrooms, and greenery from the Big Fall Cupcake, the Fall Basket, and the Fall Mug Additions sets. I die cut everything from colored cardstock and added some shading using Distress Inks and small blending brushes. Then, I assembled the die cuts before arranging them on the background panel. I tucked the die cuts in and around each other, using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares.
To finish up my card design, I die cut and assembled the Many Thanks Shadow Die from orange and ivory cardstock before attaching it with foam squares. For the final details, I added a couple of white gel pen highlights and a few gems from the Autumn Days Clay Confetti.
That completes this vibrant card featuring many of the beautiful fall-themed sets in the shop. Thanks for following along, and I’ll see you next time!
