Funny Face Candy Corn Shaker

Hello friends, it’s Kristie Marcotte here! Halloween is quickly approaching so it’s time to get those Halloween projects finished! Pretty Pink Posh makes it super fun and easy to make adorable Halloween cards.

Are you on team candy corn? Personally, I do not enjoy the candy, but I love colors. Whenever I see candy corn, I think of Halloween. My card today features the Candy Corn Shaker die set. I love that you can use the die set to make non-shaker cards, but I couldn’t resist making this sweet Candy Corn shaker card. I used yellow and 2 shades of orange cardstock for the 3 candy corn layers. The background of the shaker features the same cardstock colors. After adding thin foam strips, I filled the Candy Corn with the Candy Corn Glass Shaker Beads. After sealing the shaker beads in place with a piece of acetate, I adhered the frame die cuts.

For the background of my card, I used the Halloween Words stencil set on white pearlescent cardstock. I really wanted the Candy Corn shaker image to pop, so I added a very light amount of ink. I used Distress Oxide Dried Marigold ink color.

One of my favorite die sets from the Halloween release is the Build A Monster set. I decided to add arms, legs, and a mouth on my Candy Corn Shaker. For the eyes, I used some monster eye enamel stickers. So cute! The sentiment No Tricks, Just Treats is from Sentiment Strips: Halloween stamp set. I cut it out using the Sentiment Strips die set. I added the sentiment in the upper left corner and cut off the very left side so it’s flush on the left side.

To finish off the card, I added some lovely Sunset Orange Pearls.

It was such a fun card to make and will hopefully brighten someone’s day this Halloween.
