All Star Friend

Hi friends! Christina here to share a super fun shaker card that any bestie would love to receive. I used the Stitched Stars Dies and the Beach Day Shaker Beads from the latest release to create a starry design on a patterned paper background that I stamped myself. Let’s get started!

First, I die cut the stars from colored cardstock in colors that match the Beach Day Shaker Beads: rust, orange, teals, and royal blue. I used the Stitched Stars Dies and the two stars included in the Big Celebration Cupcake Dies set to get a variety of sizes. The largest rust-colored star will be the shaker, so I die cut that one again with the star slightly smaller to create the frame and background piece for the shaker.

For the front panel, I die cut the Pierced Stars Plate from white cardstock and stamped the little stars from the Outer Space Stamp Set in coordinating colors all across the panel. Then I die cut the second-largest star from this panel where the shaker will be. Before attaching acetate over this space on the reverse side, I used it as a template for the placement of the shaker background piece. I attached the background piece to an A2 white cardstock panel. Then I used foam strips around the background piece to create the well for the shaker beads and attached foam tape to the rest of the panel. I added the shaker beads and placed the front panel on the foam tape.

Next, I added the shaker frame that I die cut earlier from the large star to the front of the shaker. I scattered the die cut stars across the front of the panel, attaching some with foam squares.

For the greeting, I added just the script portion of the Friend Shadow Dies die cut from coordinating cardstock. The final step was to heat emboss a sentiment from the Sports Stamp Set in white on the pennant from the Big Celebration Cupcake and pop it up with foam squares.

That finishes this super fun shaker card showcasing the popular Stitched Stars Dies. See you again soon!
