Layered Cars Stencils

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today. I have a fun shaker card using the Layered Cars Stencils from the June 2022 Release. It’s super easy to make and the shaker element always makes me smile. I’m sure anyone would be happy to receive this card. 

To start, I cut a white cardstock in 5.5 inch square. I ink through the Layered Cars Stencils using Distress Oxide Inks in Barn Door, Black Soot, Festive Berries, Fossilized Amber, Iced Spruce, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood. For the windows, I used the Ranger Pigment Ink Pad in Glacier White which turned the colors lighter. I used finger daubers to color in the stencils. They are perfect for small areas. 

Next, I cut a sheet of acetate to 5.5 inch square and stamped the sentiment in 4 different areas using Stazon Jet Black ink.  I then cut a brown frame using square dies and created a well for my shaker. I then foam mounted 3 sides of the frame onto the card panel and added some 4mm Summer Mix Sequins inside before removing the backing of the last side of the frame. Lastly, I adhered the card panel onto a 5.5 inch square card base.
