Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Celebration- Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh 2nd birthday celebration!

Today I wanted to share some photos from a creative session I did last year and it’s still one of my favorite posts to date. I’m a cardmaker at heart- I love being able to start and finish a project in one sitting- but every now and then, it’s fun to go outside the norm. These photos were from a session where we created birthday themed items and used sequins in non-traditional ways.

Balloons are always a must for a party and to make them extra special, we filled them with some confetti and sequins! It added a pop of color and really brought the whole theme of the party together.

  90. Another round of fabulous, beautiful creativity, Paulina! One suggestion for a ‘something’: vertical and horizontal (with stitching, of course) strip dies. I can’t cut anything straight, so when I need a ‘border’ panel, I’m out of luck (or wind up creating a card that’s somewhat askew). Whatever you do, I know it will be as all the forerunners have been: AWESOME!

    While my goal is to stamp more and feed my sequin addiction, I would LOVE to see more PPP dies. I’m thinking word dies, BIG words, maybe even sentiment panels. It would be fun to have the option to put a shaped layer or two or even three that matched the words / sentiments perfectly too.

  276. I think anything you give away is so kind and in my case so very appreciated. When I’m well enough I am a flight nurse going they chemo and I am the only volunteer at our local women and children in crisis center. I help the kids make cards for children in the PCH with terminal illness so they receive bday cards, Xmas cards, get well cards or just blank cards for them to send out. It lets the crisis kids use their emotions and feelings to help others who are going thru a tough time as well but in a different way. All the supplies are purchased by myself and I’m fine with that but we don’t have anything fancy and PPP confetti would rock their world. I need a new big shot as I carry everything back and forth and mine was dropped so I may just use that coupon tomorrow and eat mac n cheese for a month. My fussy cutting is terrible and they can’t have scissors. I’m so thankful for a generous company who gives discounts. I’m not a JMac, KWerner NMc etc so what I do is from inspiration from all the best..which turns out nothing like theirs but I would love to be so talented. Also, it would be great to have a “gallery” on the blog–where all the awesome cards that your designers created could be seen in one central “library”, organized into categories and cross referenced by what products used. (I’m sure that would be really time consuming to do, though) and it could get complicated if more than one die was used. Maybe organized by occasion then? At any rate, it would be great to have all those beautiful cards in one place where those of us who aren’t as creative or are having creative block can scroll through for ideas.

And I think out of all the cards today I like Jennifer McGuire’s card that rainbow idea was pretty smart and it looked awesome. But then I’m a little biased lol I have been watching her videos for about a year now, and I just love her techniques and she just has a calming voice and I watch her videos and learn so much from her. Some people who post videos can be so annoying for me. It’s like they don’t even go watch their video before posting it. And you can hear them making smacking sounds as they finish a sentence, or they repeat a certain word over and over. Or they think they have to yell into the camera. And Jennifer isn’t like that. Anyway thanks for the chance to win.
