Hello, Gemma here today to share a Big Halloween Cupcake card. I love all the fun elements in this die set, there are even more than I used on this card.
I began by die cutting several pieces from the new Big Halloween Cupcake die set from colourful card, then assembled the pieces to make my cupcake.
I also added a little spider, who can be found in the new Spider Web Border die set.
Next, I worked on my background. As the cupcake is so bright and colourful, I decided to create a black and white background to show it off even more.
Using the new Layered Halloween Wreath stencils, I blended distress oxide inks over a piece of grey patterned paper. These are the inks I used:
- Layer B – Lost Shadow distress oxide ink
- Layer A – Hickory Smoke distress oxide ink
- Layer C – Black Soot distress oxide ink
I adhered the background onto a 6″ square card base, then added the Big Halloween Cupcake on top with foam tape. I finished by adding several ‘eyes’ at the base of the cake.
I hope you enjoyed this Halloween card. Thanks for stopping by!
