Party Train

Hello everyone, June here! Today I’m sharing a cute birthday card using some products from the new birthday release and some older products.

I started my card by stamping my images. I used stamps from the newly released Birthday Train and Party Time sets along with the locomotive from Valentine Train and one of the monkeys from Monkey Friends. I tried to keep the color palette very neutral with some accents of pink and purple.

I wanted to keep my background quite simple not to distract from the busy scene I stamped out, so I decided to use the Eyelet Rectangle Dies to make an extended panel. This gives me a bit more space to work with. I did this technique by rolling it partly through my die cutting machine twice and trimming the edges to fit my card base. I adhered a second panel onto it that I blended some Milled Lavender Distress Oxide on. I also splattered some Dusty Concord Distress Oxide onto it to make it a bit more interesting.

For my sentiment I embossed the ‘hooray’ from the Birthday Train set on the same pink paper that I used to back my panels onto. I also stamped a sentiment from Sentiment Strips: Birthday to fill up some empty space.

I adhered everything onto my card base using glue and some foam tape and the card is finished!

Isn’t the new release just amazing? I always love products that are birthday themed cause those are the ones you’ll probably end up needing the most. I had a blast creating this card so I hope you enjoyed reading about it :)

I’ll see you again next month! Bye!
